Q: Office Chairs: I am looking good chair that is comfortable to sit in, will not hurt my back, easy to roll across my desk area. I have sat in the Herman Miller chair and really like them..don't think my boss will go for the $800+ price tag on it though. My desk is kind of low so my arm rest right now kind of get in the way. I do have to hump over a bit to type. Does anyone have any advice to share? Sincerely, C: See if the chair is available slightly used, as many offices change furniture often or go out of business. See if the chair could be leased. See if all the chairs are the same in your ofice maybe they will let you trade with a coworker Check other chairs at a place like office depot to see if they will fit just as well at a better price. $800 is not necessarily that outlandish for a chair compared to other new desk chairs, I rarely see them for less then $200. If you have some physical limitation that makes you current chair not work for you (you are too tall or are too short) your boss should be willing to find a chair that fits you, at a reasonable price. If you really love your job and you really love your boss and are otherwise happy where you work. Offer to buy the chair yourself, because a great job is more precious than a great chair.

Q: fabric chairs: Your question needs to have more information provided in order for me to assist you better. When talking about chairs, have you looked on the underside of the seat area to see if it is screwed down and removable? Or are they like parsons chairs that are completely covered with fabric from the seat to the back of chair? You need to be more specific on type of chair before I can tell you how to do this. If the seat portion of the chair is removable(look underneath, and unscrew screws holding it on) Take seat off. Place seat of chair faced down onto fabric of choice, cut out fabric using chair seat as guide. Draw up side of fabric to be sure you have ample fabric to come to bottom of chair. Wrap seat as of you were wrapping a gift and staple with heavy gage stapler. Screw back on seat. If this is a solid fabric chair, consider buying slipcovers or making your own out of sheets.

Q: I currently have a typical rocker/recliner in my living room, but I thought it'd be cooler to have something more unique. The only two other options that I could think of was a Papasan Chair or a Hanging Chair. Any other ideas?: You could hang a black, studded, leather swinging sex-chair. Those are pretty cool. Q: If i was sitting in a chair on wheels and someone else was tied to a tree and we both pulled with enough force to move at 5m/s would I roll in my chair or would I stay stationary because we are using the same amount of force? thanks: No. your your chair would ROLL Because you applied a force on the rope backward pushing chair with the same amount of force in forward direction and there is no other force except friction to stop the chair which is not enough hence you would go forward. force applied on the rope only cancels out. you can assume you(on a wheel chair) pulls a rope fixed to tree at other end. Folding chairs fall, leaves blow in whirlwinds and scary noises are heard in dark places. Your brain is trying to find meaning, explain why something happened.
