- You could probably sew them together with rug yarn that you can get in a craft store. Depending on what the backing of the rugs are made of, this might be difficult OR, they have iron on tape that is made just for rugs. I've never seen it in the stores but I've never really looked for it either. I did see them use it on a show on HGTV. You lay the rugs face down with the joining edges against each other on the floor, place the tape evenly along the edges you want to connect, and press with a hot iron. When the joined rugs cool, turn the piece over and comb back and forth with your fingers to hide any of the new seam that night be showing.
- Q: My puppy decided to chew the carpet going from my living room into my kitchen (which is laminate). Unfortunately, my attempts thus far have just made things worse. - Carpet stains: Mix equal parts white vinegar with water in a spray bottle. Spray directly onto the stains, let sit for several minutes, and clean with a brush or sponge using warm soapy water. For a heavy duty carpet cleaner, mix 1/4 cup each of Borax, salt and vinegar. Rub paste into carpet and leave for a few hours. Vacuum. After you get it clean - vacuum every other day - that is critical and don't wear your shoes on the carpet. Keep you feet as clean as possible. Animals are another source of dirt on floor surfaces.

- Well I don't think it's because you moved or the rubber backing isn't underneath, I think it's just that cats like to litter on clean and soft material. (such as a rug, also such as a litter box) I've already been through this because I have a cat in my house too and this has happened so many times before that I can't even count! After awhile, they'llget used to going in the litter box, but it might take it awhile because my cat started to stop when he was about five!!! For now, I'll sugest to have less rugs in your house. - Q: My family room carpet is gross and my husband is too cheap to buy hardwood, he says quot;its finequot;...ive bleached carpet before by mixing with water and using my pool scrub pole, it helps or should i rip it up? i rather walk on concrete than this carpet !
- I say pull the carpet out and buy a special concrete paint so that it looks like new flooring! My parents did that in their garage and it looks so much better than the stained gray color!
