Q:does anyone know of any antibacterial carpet powder?: Never heard of it.

Q:The carpet is the basic (probably commercial) kind.: Probably not a good idea. Physically it can be done, but I don't think you would be happy w/ the results and it would most likely crack. Carpet comes up very easily, why bother?

Q:I was smoking hookah with some of my friends, and we tipped it over. It burned a pretty large piece of my carpet (8quot;x8quot;). It's regular white carpet, not berber. How much might this cost to patch/repair. Should I do it myself?: Buy a rug

Q:What color carpet is good?: The color of the carpet should be in harmony with the color of the television wall, wall, floor, and furniture. In a room inside, the color is best not too much, too many colors, giving a kind of eye busy, hand disorderly feeling, the color is too little, sometimes will feel the living room is too monotonous.

Q:Okay, so i spilled sweet and sour sauce all over my living room carpet today. I grabbed a bottle of Zout and started spraying it all over the spot, grabbed some paper towel, rubbed the carpet and dabbed the liquid up. then i sprayed febreze and vaccuumed it. YET THERE IS A REALLY NOTICABLE WHITE SPOT!!! almost like i overcleaned the carpet. the carpet around it is quite dirty, and now there is that one clean spot! what did i do wrong? will this go away? also is it going to smell bad? how do i prevent it from smelling bad?: Is the zout you used for carpet? I ask, because I have never seen zout carpet cleaner, only zout stain remover for clothes. Carpet cleaners will state to try it on an inconspicuous spot to make sure it won't remove the color from you carpet. You may want to rent a steam cleaner at a local store, they work really well, and then your spot probably won't be noticeable at all. It shouldn't smell after you steam clean it either, it will make the whole room smell fresh and clean. Good luck.

Q:How are carpets made of composite rubber mats?: There are many kinds of composite rubber, I do not know what the landlord said is, usually with a composite machine automatically paste directly into the molding!

Q:Our carpet is 8 years old (because we moved here 8 years ago), severely stained to such an extent that we're ashamed to look at it, has an interesting but unappealing smell, and is all over disgusting. We live in an apartment complex and have been begging for someone to do something about this carpet, however we've just decided to clean it ourselves. There's this Rug Doctor up for rent for a small fee at our local supermarket, and I was wondering if it would do any good. I want a cleaner carpet and gosh darn it, I hope this Rug Doctor can make it one.Would the Rug Doctor work on such a carpet? I am not exaggerating when I say it is dreadful (and I mean exceptionally dreadful).How has it worked for you?: it sounds ok but i would call a company and have a expert to take care of this carpet it can be really bad you will only lose money renting this machine.

And, especially in the winter, when people track in rock salt, etc. They are much easier to clean, the ones that are smaller I just throw in the wash. The bigger ones I just use the steam cleaner as I would my carpet. They add detail and color to the room, more than a one color carpet would, and makes it look more spacious. And, they're a lot cheaper than carpet, and when they start looking dingy or ugly, just go out and buy a new one. But, I guess some people don't have rugs, but I can't live without them.
