Q: i have had a shag rug for more than a year and the area my kids love to sit it is all smooshed down.....even when i vaccuum...The area under my coffe table is like it used to be when i vaccuum. how can i make it pop back up like it used to?
Vacuums can pick up all the loose dirt, but some of it gets matted into the carpet fibers and eventually weighs them down. Rent a steam cleaner or rug shampooer or have a professional company do it for you and you will be amazed at the results. Carpet should be cleaned once a year or every other year depending on the traffic they get - sounds like yours needs it once a year.
Q: How to remove the carpet floating Plush
Change one, it's no use anyway.
Q: I have several large area rugs (not wool) and they have large wrinkles and creases that I need to get out, I just dont want to wait till they are quot;walkedquot; out, anyone know how too, I have misted them a bit w/ water but some are still there.
Are this area rugs on hardwood or carpet flooring- that's one the the issues right there if not on hardwood- causes buckling/creasing-- We used a normal iron on low setting. its backbreaking but it works. Remember to adjust it as if you were ironing babyclothes or satin/silk material and use a wet towel under the iron so you don't burn the material
Q: I have carpet at one end of my house and tile on the other end. i want to install new carpet but still keep the tile. how do i install the carpet with tile at the end of it???
Transitioning between carpet and tile is the last step of any tile installation project. It finishes the project off for good. When you are completing a tiling project yourself, it is important to remember to roll the carpet away from the tiling area instead of cutting it to where you think the tile might end. After the tile installation is finished, the carpet can be rolled back over the tiled area and the edge of the tile can be used as a cutting guide so the carpet will be cut exactly where it needs to be cut.
Q: I have berber carpet in my living room and every couple of days i will see this white stuff just magically appear on the top of the carpet. I go to wipe it away and it seems to be nothing, like it just disappears, nothing left on the towel or on the rug like it just vanishes. It's in the same spot every time. Could something be growing under the carpet? If so, is it mold and how can I fix it?
It sounds like a powder carpet deodorizer was once used on the carpet and is now walking to the surface. These gimmick products are a real nuisance once they have been administered to the carpet. According to directions they are supposed to be vacuumed from the carpet, however, that is near impossible with out a mega ton beater bar and a super volcanic vacuum cleaner. Mold only grows in high humidity, needing a food source, such as extremely soiled carpet or upholstery, wood or paper. Berber carpet, if Olefin is a tough carpet to vacuum as the fibers run horizontal with the floor, soil, spills, etc, hide under neath the carpet strands. Place your hand on the counter top, spread your fingers, imagine a spill on top of your hand, The spill will migrate down between your fingers and position itself on the bottom of your fingers. That's how Olefin carpeting is made, tough to vacuum and tough to even professionally clean.
Q: We have pets, and my dog had an accident on my rug. I trusted that the Bissell Carpet Cleaner and the spray that comes with it (quot;Fiber Cleansingquot;) would clean it. Instead, it made this grease like stain. I tried using Dawn and after scrubbing for hours the stain remained the same. Any suggestions on getting rid of it?I'm extremely mad and want to contact Bissell, but I would like to see if there's some effective way of removing the stain. And also, what do I do about it if I can't remove the stain? Should I write a letter or an email, and if so, what do I say or demand?
i exploit a purifier referred to as pink skill on mine, spray it on, or if the stain is undesirable, pour slightly on, then use a sturdy stiff brush and scrub it particularly sturdy. Rinse it sturdy, take a seat out interior the solar enable it dry. It has no bleach in it , it in basic terms is going immediately for the grease or oil.
Q: My color scheme is all earth tones, what should I do to cover said carpet?
You said the carpet is grey and beige...and your color scheme is all earth tones....with all the earth tones, this should bring out the beige tones in the carpet more than the grey, but if you want to disguise it a little more in open and high traffic areas, get a large area rug with predominantly earth tone colors and just a small bit of grey or blue. This will make the rugs blend easily with the grey tones in the carpet, but draw the eye to the rug not the carpet under it.
Q: Should the couch sit on top of the rug completely or should the rug be in front of the couch?
for that large of a room, you could have a floating arrangement - if that is the case, the rug should be large enough to come out past each piece of furniture by nearly 2 feet. if you have part of your furniture grouping against a wall, the rug should go approximately halfway under the sofa (and everything else). if a tv is a factor (which likely means it has to be against a wall), it is appropriate to have the rug tuck under the tv cabinet a little bit, or for the rug to end a little bit before the cabinet/console/whatever. that's the best i can do without seeing the room and drawing a space plan! hope it helps
Q: How big is the carpet of Yoga
1.8 meters
Q: i was wanting to change the color of the inside of my car is there any way i can dye the carpet i want to change it to black.
decide on your color of dye, then try a solution in a spray bottle
