I've heard the product can turn into a shade of amber if you have it more than 6 months, and it would never properly harden. So is the whiskey yellow shade normal and still safe to use or should I just exchange it at the store? I've seen sellers online offer boxes that have a bottle that's a similar shade, so I would really just like to be sure it's safe to use before I open it (I would do a test but if I open/use the product, I wouldn't be able to exchange it and I'd rather not waste my money on something that would end up in the trash).

Normally you would not use a compression fitting on a copper pipe anyway, it should be soldered. Depending on where you live the average water pressure in most cities will range from 50-80 psi. Measure the outside diameter of the pipe and use the proper fittings for plumbing . Quick couplers are not recommended in any application except a garden hose. Do not forget the water shut-off valve installed before the water heater (cold or supply ) It sounds like you should really let a professional do this installation before you end up with a flood in your basement from trying to diy. If you did install a compression fitting properly you would find that the ferrul would have crimped the original pipe and you would have to cut the pipe to remove it. You may also be using compression fittings for either flexible tubing or garden hose applications. They would of course be slightly different in diameter than copper pipe. Why would you even be using flexible tubing to connect a water heater in the first place? And are you using the proper type of flexible tubing or just a piece of garden hose? Don`t forget that there are 2 types of flexible tubing , one for cold and one for hot water. Don`t use a cold water pipe on hot water .

no. the 'stock' alarm system uses a multiplex unit to determine if the interior, engine compartment or trunk have been opened without the alarm first being shut off. their is no provision to add circuits to the multiplex to integrate new sensors into the decision making process. multiplex units use the same wire for multiple signals. you can't cut and splice into those lines arbitrarily or you'll disrupt the communications paths. hope that helps

Q:The main water line into one of my apartment buildings broke today, and we replaced it and screwed the new PVC into the old steel main. After about an hour, the smallest amount of water is seeping out of the joint even with the joint tape. you can use a 4 by 3 sanitary tee. unfortunately the rise in elevation after adapting at floor level will put your pipe centerline elevation at about 9 above concrete floor. then when you add 90 degree elbow looking up to a toilet flange you will be close to 13 or 14 inches above concrete floor. you will need a cast iron chain pipe cutter to cut the vertical cast iron pipe the stack should be supported to prevent it from sagging or falling down. the condition and age of cast iron also can be an issue. the best solution would be to make the pipe connection underground. this will solve all the elevation problems and you could also add a sink or shower if you wish. note: according to code / wye fittings may used on the horizontal and vertical drains. tee fittings are to be installed on vertical drain lines. never lay a tee flat on the horizontal. a macerating toilet might also be cheapest / easiest option but it does demand electric and a tie in point for the drain. downside is pump maintenance or failure. personally the best professional option is an underground tie with concrete floor repair. remember gravity never fails.
