I need to do this for a project, and I planned on using paper mache, but I need a structure to start the whole project withI was thinking maybe using wire mesh, but if anyone has better/easier/faster ideas, I would appreciate them.
I like the wire mesh idea, but I would crumble paper for the majority of the base, wrapped in tape and/or plastic wrap, or use aluminum foil for more detailed parts of itThen do some wire mesh over it to help hold the papier mache in placeI really like this ideaThumbs up.
I have a sheet of SA-414-GI would like to know if it has a fine grain structureThe aluminum content is gt;0.02 from the MTR, which would leave me to believe it has a fine grain structureHowever, if the aluminum was added for deoxidation purposes it may have been added at a different point in the process and have no impact on grain structureOr maybe that doesn't even matter?
First, if you want to know whether the grain structure is fine, you can lookSample it and measure the grain size Second, fine grain size is in the eye of the beholder, what are you comparing it to? Third, Al killed steels are deoxidized by adding Al during the melting and casting processIt works because Al is much more reactive with O than Fe is so Al will steal O away from Fe oxides, forming Al2O3 The Al2O3 particles can be very effective at pinning grain boundaries so, if processed approprately, Al can help produce a small grainsizeFor details, consult your friendly neighborhood metallurgist.
My uncle just gave me a fly fishing rod in a metal tube and i have no clue what type it isThe tube has a cap that says peerless a.a.wconewmark n.jand all the rod says is imperiali have done some research and i cant find what model rod it isit is also 7'6quot;, blue and very old
Try taking the rod to a fly fishing store near you see if they can help
Did you guys know that its illegal to bring Mercury on Airplanes because Mercury dissolves Aluminum?
I guess the theory would be to leave some mercury on some vital, well-calculated part of the airplane (like a hinge, door latch, or oxygen tube) to disable the airplane after some extended period of exposure.
I've never taken a chemistry class (I'm in the eighth grade), but I'm pretty advanced mentally and I love scienceSo from what I have learned' the suffix quot;-idequot; shows that that element is an anionSo why do we use quot;oxidequot; to refer to covalent compounds like water? I know water is a polar molecule, but its no ionic! The only qualification I have in chemistry is having read Lavoisier's quot;the Elements of Chemistryquot; In the book he says that quot;oxidequot; means that a substance is oxidized but not enough to be an acidThis seems contrary to what I have learnedCan someone straiten this out for an advance eighth grader who has never taken a real chemistry class?
.37.5 degrees slanted cut on both end piecesMakes sense since to make a 90 degree right angle weld you would put a 45 degree angle on the end of both pieces If you are using a cut off saw with a protractor on the base, make sure the top edge of the aluminum bar is exactly at the inside edge of the abrasive wheel (which is set at 37.5 degrees on the protractor) Maybe put a piece of wood in there to check where the abrasive wheel begins to cut so you know exactly where the apex of the two pieces will meet when you cut the aluminumCut slowly to get a fine edge.good luck
I was recently given 2 cases of assorted varity Top Ramon The packets you have to boil water for, put in a bowl and add the seasoning packetWhat else can I do with them? I know some people use them in recipies, and I need some ideasThanks
Yes, it's ok for cats to eat veggies; my parents have a cat who eats peas, corn, carrots, potatoes, etcIf he likes them, offer them as a treat(But don't offer them exclusively; meat contains proteins that are absolutely required for a cat's good health.)
If I were to draw an electron notation for an aluminum (Al) atom, what is the highest energy level I would reach? I really need help on this oneoh and explanation would greatly help
I checked at a Hoover Dam (not damn) site that said a tower crane fell over on Friday, closing the road in both directionsThe road is now re-opened, as of Monday night 8pm.
The atomic number of Al is 13 and that of Cl is 17, How any Electrons, protons and neutrons are present in Ae?
Ae!? lol Aluminum: Has 13 protons and electronsIt has 14 neutronsChlorine: Has 17 protons and electronsIt has 18 neutrons.
