- Oxyclean shoud do it. Next time, let it dry before you try to clean it up...sounds strange, but it can be more easliy scraped off dry and less gets ground into the carpet fibers than it does if you try to wipe it up while it's still wet.

- Q: Have you or anyone you know had any allergy problems after getting new carpet?
- Yes, my daughter. Depending on the materials and such the carpet and padding can be treated with all kinds of chemicals to water or stain proof it or fire retardants and such. The material that the carpet is made out of can cause problems. Synthetic fibers in the carpet and the foam in the carpet padding can be the source of the problem. For my daughter it was dust mites and the foam padding. If stored in a moist warehouse the carpet could also have mold spores but just enough for the allergy stricken. If you haven't had allergy problems before then do several deep cleanings of your carpet and use an anti-allergy wash. Your local allergist can hook you up with a list of products and providers.

- Gouache is a powder pigment, water, and use toner and glue mixture, easy to clean, not like oil pigment that can not be washed out.
- Q: Rather than step into his litter box, that stays clean because I know how picky cats are, he'll crap on my bathroom rugs with his litter box not a foot away from him. Is it a territorial thing? Would he stop if I bought new rugs? I'd have already thrown his butt outside, but he's declawed. I hate having to keep my bathroom rugs folded over all the time because of the little stinker.
- I went through this exact same problem. I moved my cats litter box from the bathroom to the office about 6 months ago. She started going to the bathroom to use the restroom and used the rug instead. The vet told me that I shouldn't have moved the litter box, so I won't do that again. I found that a cat will not go to the restoom on reynolds wrap. Just lay it out flat and leaving it laying there for awhile. It takes several weeks to get them back into the habit of going in the correct place. Also, clean the rug well or remove it from the bathroom. I actually threw the rug out and bought another one. I figure there really is no way to get the smell completely out of the rug. Good Luck! ( oh I also kept my cat in the office for a few days so she would get use to going in the litter box and not in the bathroom. )

- It depends on the type of carpet, some use mild adhesieves and others have to be stretched...if it is the kind that has to be stretched you will need a tack strip around the pirimeter of the room and padding cut to fit on the inside of the tack strip, then you will need to rent a carpet stretcher which has teeth on it and get down on your knees and knee kick the stretcher to stretch the carpet towards the tack strip all the way around the room, very hard on the knees....when you get the carpet stretched to the tack strip tap the carpet onto the tack strip with a hammer, good luck.
