3) What is the difference of Wilton Carpet and Axminster carpet
Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

- They aren't all so expensive, it depends on what you get. Anything made of silk is obviously expensive because the fiber is made by worms with very fussy diets that require considerable care. You can usually find decent in stock carpet for less than $2/square foot and rems as low as $1/sf. Look for good quality in a remnant, there are really good deals on them out there.

- It depends on the type of carpet, some use mild adhesieves and others have to be stretched...if it is the kind that has to be stretched you will need a tack strip around the pirimeter of the room and padding cut to fit on the inside of the tack strip, then you will need to rent a carpet stretcher which has teeth on it and get down on your knees and knee kick the stretcher to stretch the carpet towards the tack strip all the way around the room, very hard on the knees....when you get the carpet stretched to the tack strip tap the carpet onto the tack strip with a hammer, good luck.
- Q: Okay so If wanted to get rid of carpet stains from animal urine or say spilled drinks that are months old would baking soda work to get them out? My parents aren't too clean or careful and don't care much that the carpet is so messed up because they never have anyone over and are constantly worrying about other things. I hate it it bothers me out so I want to take initiative and clean it. Would it work? If so how much? And if not I'd really appreciate you telling me what would. - It's unfortunate that you're in that situation but I commend you for wanting to make your living environment a cleaner place. I think you're already aware that having a carpet cleaning machine would be much better...but try using a scrub brush with oxy-clean solution....or using white vinegar and baking soda solution. (Vinegar disinfects and may help to eliminate the urine odor). You could try this combination first....and then go over it using the oxy-clean solution to clean more. After carpet is dried, regular sprinkling of baking soda all over it and letting it sit, then vacuuming it up will help to take out some odor, too. (But if pets have been regularly going on the carpet, there are stains all the way down to the floorboard and carpet is ruined, really). Just do the best you can in this situation, okay? See if you can stress the importance of the pets being able to go outside to do their business. Pet stores sell products that are like pet grass mats where they can go on instead of having accidents on carpets. (Check a pet store online and see if your parents would get those). Pet stores also sell cleaning products, too, if they want to inquire about having some on hand for the future.

- Q: I have 5 kids and we rent our house .well it got so bad we rented a rug doctor it took so much of the dirt out I couldn't belive how dirty the water was. It didn't take long for the carpet to dry after we did it but now when you get down next to the floor it still smells like dirty socks!.does this mean I got the pad to wet or maybe I didn't mix the soap right?what can I do to take out that dirty sock smell?
- carpet always smells like a wet dog. lol You can rent the rug doctor again but this time when after you shampoo... rinse with vinegar water. this will help remove soap residue and help keep your carpet from picking up more dirt that sticks to soap.

- Try putting some laundry detergent on it and scrubbing it. Then soak it up with a towel, then wet it down a little bit, then soak it up again....viola!
