3) What is the difference of Wilton Carpet and Axminster carpet

Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

Q:I vacuum every day with a kirby sentria. I read somewhere that vacuuming daily can ruin your carpet, but I haven't had a problem (yet). Supposedly it'll wear out the carpet sooner? I use the correct settings for my carpet. We have a 3 year old, a dog, and 3 cats, the thought of vacuuming even every other day kind of sickens me when I think about how many crumbs and how much hair can build up in the carpet lol.Is it okay to vacuum daily? Not gonna have to replace the carpet every 3 years if I do it that way?: It's not necessary to vacuum everyday. I don't think it's a problem if you DO vacuum everyday though. I vacuum once every week or two because I don't make huge messes that require vacuuming. Another thing you can do is vacuum a specific area. Like vaccum the rug your animals play on every 2 or 3 days just to keep it fresh. But as for bedrooms and hallways, it's not necessary to vacuum so much.

Q:theres a burn mark on my carpet about the size of a silver dollar and i want to try and replace it whats the best way to go about it?: Do you have any spare carpet from when they installed the carpet? You can cut a small section out and match it to the spare carpet, then use carpet tape to reapply it. Or you could cut a small piece out of the back of a closet and use it to patch. It would be a lot easier to just put a nice throw rug over the burn mark though.

Q:Whether is the wood floor good or the carpet good in the bedroom?: Floor is recommended. Thought it's easier to cause fire and the heat?retention properties is slightly lower than the carpet, comfort matters, the comfort of carpet is better than the floor, if there are people smoking at home, it's much more convenient to clean floor! Put the life aside, the heat?retention of the carpet is better than the floor, but still better than floor tiles, cleaning is not convenient

Q:I usually take more care when i use pastels but i really felt like doing something creative in the spur of the moment so i got out my soft pastels and art supplys and when i was done i noticed some pastel got on the carpet does anyone anyone know how i can get rid of it?BTW my mum only just put a new carpet which was pretty expensive in so i need to get rid off it without her knowing preferabbly or shel be really mad :SPLEASE HELP!!: Some carpet stains can be removed with a paste of 2 tablespoons white distilled vinegar and 1/4 cup salt or baking soda. Rub into the carpet stain and let dry. Vacuum up the residue the next day. (Always test on an out-of-sight part of the carpet first).

Q:my cat claws and tears a section of my carpet in my apartment. I would like answers from someone who really HAS the experience on cutting out the piece, replacing, sowing, etc. Can anyone help?: I've had to repair construction damaged carpet in several houses - here's how I went at it. Go to a carpet store and ask for carpet tape - a wide version of duct tape. You should be able to get it as single sided or double sided tape. Take a piece of carpeting identical to the carpeting you have to replace, cut it large enough to replace the damaged section, and lay the new piece over the old - making sure the pile of the original carpet and the patch line up. You may find it easiest to cut the carpeting from the back side, or use a knife with a blade designed to cut carpeting (see the carpet store again). Hold the patch in place while you cut through damaged carpet, using the patch as a template. If you're uncertain, make the hole in the original carpet a little small and trim the patch to fit. Once the patch fits the hole in the original carpet, use the tape to fasten the patch to the original carpet (and to the floor if two sided). Get the cat de-clawed. ;-) Good luck with it.

My loan pony is a Welsh Section D and she doesn't need a rug she is absouloutley fine Welsh Section D's don't have turnout rugs in the wild and they don't need them (unless your horse is clipped) But I think a show fleece and a stable rug would be a good idea xx

If you are going to use it the full size that it is now, all you have to do is go to the fabric store and purchase rubber rug backing so it won't slip on the floor when stepped on. The rubber gripping is best sewn on either by machine or hand and try to stitch it throughout the back, not just along the edges or at the corners so that it won't rip when you launder it. Another way to use it is a rug is to purchase two sided carpet tape. The tape sticks to the floor and then you press the rug onto it holding it in place.
