Descriptioof Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pump 

CDL/CDLF is a kind of vertical nonself priming multistage centrifugal pump, which is driven by a standard electric motor. The motor output shaft directly connects with the pump shaft through a coupling. The pressure-resistant cylinder and flow passage components are fixed between pump head and in-and outlet section with tie-bar bolts. The inlet and outlet are located at the pump bottom at the same plane. This kind of pump can be equipped with an intelligent protector to effectively prevent it from dry-running, out-of-phase and overload. 


Application of Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pump 

It can be used to convey various medium from tap water to industrial liquid at different temperature and with different flow rate and pressure.

CDL type is applicable to conveying non-corrosive liquid, While CDLF is suitable for slightly corrosive liquid.

[with the car jacked up] Follow the rubber pipes coming out of the radiator. You should eventually find a metal device that is connected to your serpentine belt (fan belt). This device is your water pump. The purpose of the pump is to run cool water through the engine to cool it off. It needs to be replaced if it is making noise or if your car heats up too much. hope this helps! :)

That van will have either the 3.3L or 3.8L engine. Both use the same water pump. It should run you somewhere in the $35.00 range for the pump. The hoses will depend on the brand you chose, but you should be able to get both the upper and lower radiator hose, and the pump, for under $100. Any parts store should either have these in stock or should be able to get them for you within a few hours! This does not include labor. If you are going to do the pump replacement yourself, you will need to be very careful when you remove the bolts that hold the pump. They are thin, and have a tendency to break. You have to be very gentle to avoid breaking off a bolt, or you will have to drill the bolt out. There is not a lot of clearance, so it is difficult to drill. When you replace the water pump, check the serpentine belt for cracks. It is easier to replace it while it is loose than to have to do it later.

This is the start capacitor is damaged, or start the coil break, it is recommended to check if the coil wire in the end can be connected, if left in the tank to replace the coil, if the capacitor is a replacement can (470V, 10uF).

It wouldnt last long as the water acts as a lubricant and the seals would fail as a result .The bearings would also overheat if relying on being cooled by the water

I would go with the NAPA one, the GM one that is on the car now did not last forever either, I have had very good luck with after market water pumps for GM vehicles. 4 hours seems a little steep though......Good luck

Q: My 1998 Dodge Dakota V6 heater only gets warm, I have replaced the thermostat. I have back flushed the heater core. The heater hose coming from near the thermostat gets hot, but the hose coming from the heater core going to the water pump only gets warm. The large hose coming from the thermostat is hot near the engine, but is only warm near the radiator. Is the water pump bad? If I open the radiator cap there is no signs of circulation. about all you can check on a water pump is for free play in a front bearing,if its not circulating real good that's a true sign the blades on the pump are getting worn out,if its not circulating good replace it,you should have back pressure built up in the system when you remove the cap also,this may also be sign there may be a leak in the cooling system,good luck.
Q: I put the new water pump in and the metal tube that goes to the heater hose it is hitting the wheel that holds the 3 belts that goes onto the water pump. why is it doing that. got the right pump. I have a 1986 firebird V6. any ideas?
if you still have the old pump match it up with the new one, if its the same the pulley backwards
