- Q: I got a XFX radeon 5750 graphics card and after a lot of trouble I realized that I hadn't plugged in the 6 pin PCIe power cable, but I don't see any slots on my power supply, does anyone know how to fix this problem? I really don't wanna buy another power supply :(
- Image provided in source. Basically, it is a power connector made specifically for pci-e graphics card, which comes from a power supply unit. A molex does not provide enough energy for modern graphics card, so the 6 pin was invented. There is an 8 pin pci-e power connector, which is an upgrade of the 6 pin, and it provides the graphics card with more energy. Most modern power supplies come with 6 pin connectors.
- Q: What is the difference between the power BV line and the power YJV cable?
- According to the provisions of GB-. pipes with a diameter of 15 mm can wear 3 BV-2.5 or 2 BV-4; and so on, 20 mm pipe, 3 * 4 or 4 * 2.5; 25 mm pipe, * 6 mm or 5 * 4; 32 mm tubing, wear 3 * 10 or 5 * 6; 40 mm tubing, wear 4 * 16 or 5 * 10; 50 mm tubing, wear 4 * 25 or 5 * 16 The The combination of the above, generally can be applied to all the current distribution lines of the way. As for the 35 square millimeters above the wire, the general use of cable laying, do not use PVC pipe, you can see the environment as a result of the application or wear pipe protection.
- Q: I'm thinking of the power cables that connect houses to the national grid in the UK. Not only do they appear to be the green colour of copper in full sunlight, but this colour isn't evenly spread. In places there is still black. What causes this, as it's presumably not exposed copper or the colour would always be apparent?
- This could simply be moss / lichen or fungus growing. the north side of the cable will have more moss on it than the south side. As the sun is over the equator and England is in the Northern Hemisphere so the sun lights the south side of the cable, and the moss grows on the darker side. This is a classic way of telling directions in a forest or paddock. Garret
- Q: How would I go about stripping 4 gauge power battery cable for my amp? oh and how would i screw the fuse holder down? with what kind of screws? thank you!
- I use a knife to strip that wire, just be careful not to nick the wire. Drill a hole and use sheet metal screws to screw the fuse holder down.
- Q: i'm using an older mac at uni to do illustration, i pulled the computer round to put a tablet in it and the computer shut down, there are about 20 computers in the lab....the power cable at the back that is connected to the monitor is loose, i tried to put it back in but it's crackling....can i get electrocuted from putting it back in? i can't shut down all the computers so there's still electricity running through...thanks
- souds scary but its not - plug her back in your good to go!!!!
- Q: Mine isn't so I'm just wondering what it would do.
- the power noise will bleed through the lines.......which means u would have interference noise in ur system.....and even alternator noise(were buzzing/ringing high pitch whine increases with engine speed) sometimes.......
- Q: Hi,I bought a new 500GB HDD today, with a SATA cable (data) but I don't know what kind of power cable I need?I looked around and saw Sata to Molex and all kinds of things, I've never had to hook up a second hard drive before and the terms are confusing me. Could anyone tell me what kind of cable I'll need and where I'm supposed to hook them up to?Thanks!
- The power cable you need will come from the computer's power supply (PSU - power supply unit), and look like a larger version of the SATA data cable (wider). You connect both cables and let it go. Some older model SATA hard drives have both the SATA power connector and a 4 pin Molex (usually white 4 pin power connection from PSU/power supply. Hope that helps.
- Q: My monitor POWER cable says: 10A, 250V. my CPU power cable says 6A, 250V.Recently, my monitor stopped working, so as a part of hit and trial, i exchanged these two wires. So, although my monitor is using a 6A cable instead of 10A.. my CPU is getting 4A excess than what its wire said initially. Is this safe?? Will i end up blowing up my CPU??
- The values on the cable and the devices is the MAXIMUM power the device should draw and/or the wire will support. Typically, you draw FAR less than these numbers.
- Q: lost the original cable at a gig, but I have another cable. the outlet on the Behringer guitar amp reads quot;Use only with 250V fuse, but right above the outlet it reads 220-240 with a upside down triangle next to it (not sure if this represents volts or not...I know obviously V stands for volts, but this is a upside down solid triangle.)My power cable/cord that i found reads 10A 250VI know i should probably purchase one direct from the manufacture, but that is not possible right now. I have a gig coming up this weekend.thanks for any help.I also mention the original power cord was a two prong (that went into the outlet) - the one i might use is a 3 prong. will this still be safe? It does fit into the back of the amp perfectly.
- Assuming you're in a place where the outlets provide 220 to 240 volts, it's fine. The 250 volts on the power cord just means it's good for *up to* that.
- Q: Where can I buy a replacement power cable for my ps3? I can't find one anywhere.?
- Call Sony and ask.. 1-800-345-7669 they should be able to tell the nearest store you can buy it from.
