Q: I want to put a poe switch into the patch panel and power a few runs throughout the office. Can the end users use the drop as a standard way to plug into a computer or add a switch if they need to split the internet? What if they want to add their own POE switch at the end of the drop?I can't beleive I haven't seen this question asked already! Anywhere on the intternet!thanks for answering
Yes, you can attach PoE or non PoE devices to the switchports. No worries. If a device is not configured for PoE, than it won't use it.
Q: Hi there - I had a Mr Bean moment when hooking up my DVR and camera during a house renovation project. Basically, I put the cables the wrong way around so that the ends that go in to the DVR are with the camera and the ends that are meant to be connected to the camera are with the DVR.
Yellow is video White is audio You can swap those if you want because they are just wires. The colors are so that we humans can hook them up. I am assuming that the red can't be plugged into the wrong port.
Q: I'm curious, because I was looking through the 'combo deals' for a part for a potential build, and one of them was a SATA cable (item itself was a hard drive). Does Newegg, or for that matter any major computer retailer, sell products that come with all the cables you need to actually use the part? I guess I'm primarily concerned with Hard Drives and Disk Drives in this case... oh, and PSUs I guess. And the mobo, will that have the power cable?

Q: how do i install the power cord on the 8600 gts. Is just attaching one of the two receivers on the cord to the graphics card and the other end plug in one to a power thing the right way.
Some specialized power supplies have the power cable built-in and you can plug that directly into the card. If you don't have one of these, then the card probably came with a cable that requires you to plug in two 4-pin power cables (same type that plugs into your CD drive off your power supply) and then the other 6-pin end snaps into your video card.
Q: So i found a old monitor but cant find the power cable what cable do i need?
Look at the monitor - there should be a label or imprint or something telling you which input the monitor requires. Without that it's impossible to determine the correct adapter. Copy all the information (Volt, Watt, Ampere) there should also be a symbol telling you if the center is plus or minus. Or make good picture of the label. With all that information go to a good electronics or computer store and ask for a power supply unit that covers those requirements. You should also know which plug to use or get a power supply that has adapters for the plug. Easiest would be to take the monitor with you to the shop to avoid troubles. You can also try to google the monitor and see if you can find a spec sheet.
Q: I have a Benq scanner 5000 and have lost its power cable. Please tell me what adapter to buy! input = 220v

Q: I don't know what to do. I bought a monitor from someone on OKorder over a month ago. He said the person who packaged the monitor accidentally put my cables in the box with another monitor he sold to someone else. For a month now he's been quot;trying to find a solution. He said he looked at electronics stores, but never found anything. I already paid a lot for the monitor, and can't afford to buy the cables again. (because I already bought them with the monitor from this guy...)WHAT CAN I DO?
The cables that go with monitors are generally pretty generic. I have piles of extra cables lying around myself, if I was in your position I'd probably walk about ten feet over that way and pull out the cables I need from there. The only thing that would worry me, in your position, is whether that monitor actually works at all. You wouldn't know until you plugged in the cables and tried it now would you. You can probably get whatever cables you need for next to nothing out of some local electronics junk shop, or from craigslist. People often just give away junk like that, just to get rid of it.
Q: I have an IVI Checkmate receipt printer, but do not have a power cable for it. Where can I get a power cable for this receipt printer?
Hi.. I think for all your power cable and cable accessories requirement this site can be helpful
Q: I was just wondering what ATX power supplies (exact model) that can support the Antec P182 computer case. Like, the power supply goes on the bottem of the case, but the power supply cables need to be long enough for it to reach the top of the case?Basically, I am trying to ask what ATX power supplies that have long cables? Thanks! :)
Unless you have a good reason for putting it there and plenty of air flow the bottom of the case is not a good place to put a power supply. They generate a lot of heat and this will rise up into the case.
Q: I feel like this is a stupid question but yeah, I m getting a PC and wonder about all the cables. It doesn t have vga output so I m going with a separate hdmi cable to the screen, but power cables I suppose will be there? Like that s not a separate thing ooor...?
If you're buying a pre-built PC, it will come with all the necessary cables. If you're buying parts to assemble your own PC, you'll get most of the cables. The power supply will come with a power cord, as well as the power cables for use inside the PC. The monitor will come with its own power cord, and at least 1 video cable. If you want to use HDMI and it didn't come with a HDMI cable, just go buy one (assuming the monitor supports HDMI...) The motherboard may come with some SATA cables for connecting your hard drive, DVD drive to the motherboard. The motherboard will also come with a baggie full of screws, connectors, and doodads for attaching the motherboard to the case. In general, you should have just about everything you need to completely build a PC from a pile of parts.
