- Some of the suggestions you already have are pretty good, especially the upright attempt. But measure carefully first, the only suggestion I can add is to remove the legs. I do upholstery, the legs should be attached to the frame with screws, so check and see, then carefully remove (make sure you put all the screws into a baggie or other container so they don't disappear. Removing the legs should make the profile of the sofa narrower, so if you can slip it in upright, that will give you a few less inches in width, then when its in the room, all you have to do is re-attach the legs. - The paint color I love is called Greystone by Kelly Moore. It's named after a European castle is more of a beige/tan tone -- not gray. - Q: i have one sofa and 2 love seats,they have been in the family for a long time ,and with money problems and debt , i thought i can do it yourself fix . the sofa is missing a leg in which i can get a new one from any store ,but wanted to know is there an easy way to fix like example the hands of the sofa have lost the cushion under it and some of the sofa seat things have rips in the fabric ,i tried sewing them but they still re-rip ,for i have toddlers at home ,has anyone done anything of the kind and is it more expensive then sending it somewhere or just buying a new one , the wood seems fine and in good shape ,it is just the cushion part and outer cover ,i thought of getting the slip covers but with the kids it wont stay in place at all so i want to fix the cushion and replace the cover
- Sorry, the sofas are way past their use. It is better to replace the sofas. The time and effort to repair the sofas are probably more costly than replacing the sofas.

- I don't know about the sofas, but I own a Lane recliner - we've had it for 6 years now and it still looks and feels new. The cushions are all still firm and the padded arms are still fluffy - not all floppy like the cheap ones get after awhile. Oh - and it gets MAJOR use too - it's not just sitting in a room looking pretty. I haven't heard real great or bad things about La-z-boy (other than they're overpriced), but I'd buy a sofa from Lane in a heartbeat, but that's just my opinion. Good luck!
- Q: I saw a reasonably priced open up sofa bed in leather at Jennifer sofa The bedframe is standard. I'd need to put extra padding under the mattress to be comfy. In another store I saw a sofa not leather for similar price where the sales person said the frame is made by a company in business for 80yrs still need extra padding under mattress. I read several reviews about Jennifer sofa leather sofa not good thumbs down.But I love the look of leather. The differance between these two sofa beds is apprx 300$. - We had a sofa bed at our cottage that was a very good brand. After sleeping on it for a couple of nights we we're really sorry. It was the worst I had evr slept on. Maybe you should consider a day bed. With that you could get a good mattress of your own .
