Q:I have a little mercury capri convertible and I think it would be AWESOME if I could put hydraulic lifts in it. I was wondering if that was even possible?
With some modifications it can be done to any car.
Q:1) Please explain using Bernoulli‘s Principle, what a spoiler on a car is and what it does for the vehicle.2) Does this explain why Indy cars are really low to the ground and have huge spoilers on the back? Why or why not?3) Why do some vehicles have spoilers on the front?4) What is the difference in performance between a sports car with a spoiler and a family car without a spoiler? Thanks for your help!! (10 points for the best answer)
Have used them for years -- great and long-lasting.
Q:i have a 2001 honda accord lx v6 coupe, its rims are stock 16 and i want to put 18 rims on it. i know i need new tires to fit the rims but will i have to have my car lifted in order for the new rims and tires to fit my car?
no, but depending on how wide the 18's are you may get fender rub when you turn
Q:i bought a fourth car yesterday.idk why, but its a 1989 buick skylark that has scarface painted on the hood, so i bought 22 inch rims that match the paint for the car, and the shop said i needed to get a lift kit to put them on. so what kind of lift kit? what inch? and where? please help me out.and i dont got a spending limit.
sure you can. matter of fact there was a 69 oldsmobile that use to run around where i live that had a lift on it. they put a 4 wheel drive unit under it.
Q:all around to get in and out easier. What should be done and is there any long term design effect that would hurt the car?
basic price is 20 to take the old rubbor off and 20 to put the new tire on or its 10 to put it on and 10 to take it off cause i got mine done and it cost me 80 bucks for all 4 tires
Q:as a male supposing she saw you and you were a decent looking male and she was hot and she stopped her car to ask for directions than offered you a lift to somewhere would you hop in with her in a dark road with few people and houses
no. her buddies are probably waiting somewhere to beat me up and take my wallet. it happens.
Q:Is there any way to giva a car (not a truck)a 8-12 inch lift? If so please tell me how and the recomended place I could buy the items required. Thanks in advance.
why? ok I had to ask that. You can swap your body on to a truck frame. this is the best plan. Other than that Get a welder and some steel and an enginering degree.
Q:Using a rearwheel drive car. How do I keep the brakes locked up while shifting at the same time? I‘m trying to learn how shift from first to second third forth fifth gear just sitting there and burning up the rubber.
if you are doing a wheel stand, you are not worried about shifting. if you want to burn tires up, look into a line lock kit. this would allow you to leave the front brakes engaged and the back tires free to spin.
Q:Car lift for my garage?
I agree with the other response. It looks like it would be unstable in the base. My buddy is looking into a lift for his garage but he has limitations on height. He found a company that has a lift similar to a pallet jack, that you slide under the car and just lift it. It is ismilar in price but seems WAY more stable.
Q:Does it mean installing new struts, or just raising the struts already on the car
Struts by themselves will not raise a car.............. Elevate the car on a jack or lift winch so that it is safely and securely above the ground. Remove the wheels using a lug wrench, setting the lug nuts aside where they will not be lost. Disconnect the sway bar link from the lower control arm on each side of the vehicle. Unbolt the outer tie rod ends as well as the lower bolt through the shock/coil assembly. Disconnect the coil and strut assembly from each tire. Write down the alignment of the top plate of the strut studs to the lower shock hole. You'll need to know this before compressing the spring or else you will need to install the lift kit all over again. Use a spring compressor to compress the springs on each tire. Use a spring compressor to compress the springs on each tire. Install your new cars lift kit and when finished have a 4-wheel alignment done on it. As for getting it back to the original specs you will need to replace everything that was removed and that could be between $500.00 to $2000.00 depending if you use new or salvage yard parts.........
