- I clean houses for a living, and personally I like a Rainbow vacuum cleaner. They are very expensive but does the job! You have an attachment that does the carpet, then another one that does the hardwood floors, plus lots of attachments to do your ceilings and walls. The Oreck vacuum is good also. It's real lightweight and does a good job also.

- I am so glad that you asked that question. I had been looking for myself a vacuum cleaner until a few weeks ago. I think I have bought the best vacuum cleaner ever. Its a Eureka Altima Turbo bagless that has the attachments for stairs and also includes a self cleaning duster. I purchased it at my local Wal-Mart for 78 dollars.

- Q: I own a VAX V-045 upright bagless vacuum cleaner. All of a sudden, the bottom/base suction doesn't work anymore. I use the hand held bit now to do all the cleaning. Can someone suggest me how to troubleshoot, change if a belt is broken or direct me to a repair manual? Thanks.

- Rainbow vaccums are very expensive, for commercial use i say there ok, for residential it does ok. My girlfriend used to sell them and she demonstrated one at my house. When she went to clean my mattress, the machine pulled the fabric and ripped it. Too much suction for the mattress. ORECK is really a good one for residential and they stand by there name, if you have a problem you can go to a local dealer and they will fix it. Rainbow is like selling avon, it would have to be shipped back to the manufacturer and you would have to pay for shipping charges and in the meantime, you have no vac to use-takes a few weeks to have it back.
