Not looking for expensive models, just something under $60.: Go to the thrift stores and garage sales. Then inspect them well before you buy. That is the only way to get a good one for that price. Dyson is about the best for under $500.

I can't wait too much longer to make a decision!Thanks: The great thing about bagless is that you never have to use bags...running out of bags, having to go to the store, added expense. If you decide to get the bag kind, buy a bunch of bags at the same time so you will be able to use it a while before having to go get more. Finding the right bag can be such a hassle. Bagless vacuums work great, and I would suggest emptying them outside to avoid getting dust back in the house. I use the shop vac to clean out the bagless vacuum and filters, then empty the shop vac when it's more full. If you have no shop vac, then tap it out in the garage or outside at the garbage can is my best advice.

Q:how many watts does a vacuum normally use?: If you mean a vacuum cleaner, it depends on model and manufacturer. I would doubt that most domestic ones use more than 750 watts, though. But there should be a nameplate with that information on it. Now, industrial vacuum cleaners can be a bit bigger and use more power - like hundreds of horsepower.

The static electricity also may be jumping to wires. Its called signal jump. To much power in the motor of the vacuum cleaner can create a huge electric field which could overwhelm your components in the computer. Shut the computer OFF when vacuuming.

Q:i hardly find a replacement for my electrolux vacuum cleaner filter bag... where do You think i can buy that in manila or batangas area here in the philippines: We have a bagless vacume. We shake the filter off every time when empty the tank and change at the recomended times. We have never had the trouble you have described. I think your vacume is messed up. I really like the bagless.

Q:Can you improve a vacuum cleaners suction (with tweeks) or filteration (by adding aditional filter)?: Well if you can you would probably be a pretty good engineer. I would keep any existing filters cleaned regularly and if you are using a bag They tend to have better air flow when first installed(empty). You didn't mention what type or for what purpose. If you are cleaning carpet you need agitation, air flow,and suction. Setting it too low would cut down on air flow. Too high would increase air flow but you would not get the suction down where you need it. You might get some better answers if you add details.
