Q:I'm asking the linear velocity of the air into the suction and not the volumetric flow rate
around 60 MPH
Q:i turn it on,it emits this stink like warm spoiled cheese. i never used it for anything other than my carpet, and i never used it to clean anything wet. and the machine isn't even a year old yet. i purchased it brand new.
Cleaning the hose i detach it from the machine and provided that it's not a current carrying hose what i do is a partially fill the hose with warm water and dish soap then i move the ends up and down to swish the water through the hose be sure to rinse it out with water and then if you can blow it out or hang it up and do not use it till it's dry
Q:My bagless vacuum is about 1 year old. We change our HEPA filter and the round filter under the dirt trap, clean the washable sponge as instructed. Recently, all of a sudden the machine smells really bad like a dead body is inside the machine. Anyone with a solution?
Most vacuum cleaners have a rotating brush that is powered by a rubber ring connecting it to the motor. If the rotating brush gets jammed, the ring will continue to turn, rubbing against the brush. This creates a lot of friction, heating up the rubber ring. When rubber burns, it smells really bad. If your rotating brush is not rotating, or rotating too slowly, then the rubber ring is burning. I hope this helps.
Q:Toy vacuum cleaners, mops, pretend kitchens and stuff like that?? Isnt that kind of wrong? Seriously.
the market settles all accounts. If there demand for any other toys we would supply you. You want a six foot purple sock? Place your orders, I would be happy to design and sell it. I would cover you in peanut butter and sell you a rhinocerous if it were profitable. Little girls want to play mommy, they learn thier roles from society not the toy isle. It may even be innate, much as half the fems don't like the idea. Some feminists accept societal roles while still wanting some fairness and love.
Q:Vacuum cleaner or carpet???
The vacuum cleaner probably came first or you wouldn't be asking this question. Vacuum cleaners can also be used on wood you know!
Q:i have a canister vacuum cleaner that has been working on and off. When it works, it works well, but sometimes when you try to turn it on it won't. But then when you try again later, it works. And it hasn't worked when it wasn't even used shortly before so it can't be overheated. The vacuum is at least a decade old. I'm suspecting that the motor i nearing the end of its life..but my dad refuses acknowledge the possibility of that and citing that it just needs to be cleaned. I know when the vacuum needs to be cleaned considering that I'm like the only one who uses it!
Alyssa, 10 years is a decent amount of time with a vacuum. However, I would recommend taking it into Sears (or just call them to save you a trip) and find out what they can do for you. Kenmore is sold exclusively by Sears, and sometimes they are great about fixing/replacing things like this. That's what I would do first. If they can't do anything for you (or if it costs you more than $40 to replace the motor) then it's probably time for a new vacuum. Just be careful - the vacuum industry seems to build vacuums that last about 4-5 years now, unless you want to pay for something like a Miele and possibly a Dyson (I'm still not sure a Dyson will last longer than 5-7 years personally). There are some good deals though for less than $150 if you don't want to spend the money - the Shark Navigator and the Eureka Airspeed Bagless are two great machines you may want to look at. I'll put a resource below that gives some great reviews you can read if you do end up looking for a new vacuum. Hope this helps!
Q:Why are vacuums so loud?
Aww, did a vacuum wake you up, Frank? (Did you shoot it?). You'd think that since they can make silencers for smaller 'appliances', like hand guns, ; ) they'd have no problem making them for vacuum cleaners. Many of those industrial types can make an awful lot of noise, but you can get virtually silent ones for use in your homes, planes, yachts, limos etc. Have a servant or agent get a hold of one for you. 'Here's looking at you kid' Let's all do lunch!
Q:where do sea cucumbers live and where are they found in the marine environment?
they are the vacuum cleaners of the ocean. they live primarily on the bottom and can range to several miles down! very slow moving, and even have the ability to purge their entrails when threatened! In some asian countries they are eaten as raw and as pickled, as well as being used dried like a fish base. having no bones they are rather like hollow tubes of thick flesh that just sucks up what ever it can find.
Q:case in point: we have bought two vacuum cleaners in the last 4 years that have stopped working. i mean, we only vacuum once a week or so, and these were name brand vacuums like hoover and such for around $100 or so. they shouldn't have died so quickly. anyway, i bought an antique vacuum from the 1940s off OKorder and it works like a dream. i imagine if it has lasted 60 years, it will serve me well for many more. i am just sick of cheap products. anyone else buy antiques instead of quot;brand newquot;?
Yes, most stuff made nowadays is cheap, plastic imported junk.
Q:how much air does a rainbow vacuum move?
Check out vacuum cleaners at a public library in a magazine called Consumer Reports. If you do not get an answer there, try the rainbow web site.
