- Q: If i reduced considerably the size of the hose of a vacuum cleaner say by 4, is the suction power goin to increase by 4? Since pressure is equal to force/area. im trying to make my vacuum cleaner ultra powerful. thank you.
- In a machine with perfect efficiency (which doesn't exist), your math may add up, but in this case the motor only has a limited amount of power. Decreasing the nozzle size would introduce more drag on the motor, which as said before, could burn it out.

- Most cleaners have filters in them that are replaceable that stop dust being put back into the air, but some small amount is bound to get in the air. if you have some sort of allergy check what sort of filtration you can get with cleaners.Some are better than others.
- Q: Why are vacuums so loud?
- Aww, did a vacuum wake you up, Frank? (Did you shoot it?). You'd think that since they can make silencers for smaller 'appliances', like hand guns, ; ) they'd have no problem making them for vacuum cleaners. Many of those industrial types can make an awful lot of noise, but you can get virtually silent ones for use in your homes, planes, yachts, limos etc. Have a servant or agent get a hold of one for you. 'Here's looking at you kid' Let's all do lunch!
- Q: Okay so I realize how dumb this question sounds. I have severe OCD. You know how a toilet sends particles into the air when you flush it? Well, does the same happen with a vacuum cleaner? Like, if I vacuumed my room, would all the particles on my floor go into the air/onto my stuff? I hate that I need this reassurance-but could somebody please explain to me in detail? - When we were researching about vacuums we read that bag-less vacuums don't have as strong suction and pick up power as vacuums with bags. I have had both kinds, and personally, I feel that vacuums with bags pick up better. I have a Eureka, and it is a wonderful, economic vacuum. (It was only $150 as opposed to Dyson's $300 or more!)

- no, because it will just exit the vaccum since it is not air tight. also, air is mixed with co2 and you wouldn't be able to separate the two.
