Q:Who has owned and recommends Electrolux vacuum cleaners?
I have never had one, but my sister did. It was a way over priced pile of junk, and really not as good as the $100.00 vacuum she had before the electrolux, and still has now that she has given the electrolux to the Salvation Army. Silly woman fell for a line of crap some slick door to door salesman laid on her, and regretted it from about the second time she used the electrolux.
Q:Combines the cyclonic suction of a Dyson but utilizes a bag?I've used Dyson's (never owned one) and they have tremendous suction power, but I absolutely HATE the bag-less containers because when I empty them the dust goes everywhere and eventually you have to clean the containers and those filters inside. If there isn't anything that combines the best of both worlds, what upright (bag using) vacuum do you recommend as the best for a single floor mid-sized house?I really desire something that can get up close against the edge of the carpet and the side-boards and has good consistent suction power.
cant go wrong with a kirby, i have had mine for 6 years and works as good today as it did when it was new. stay away from dyson, in home daycare had 2 and both died in 6 months or less. they clog easy and they are bagless. i agree with you bagless are as bad as never sweeping.
Q:With Mother's Day around the corner I thought I'd ask something we all can use. There seems to be this idea floating around that many women don't like to receive things like vacuum cleaners, irons, etc. and would rather recieve something more sentimental in value. Men, on the other hand, love receiving tools and things that they can use to do things with. Most of the women in my family like getting things they can use like a vacuum cleaner or something to cook with, so I have to wonder if that thought is really true. So women, if you received a vacuum cleaner or some similar gift, would you be offended by it? If you would be, why? Is it implying that you are the homemaker because you're a woman?
Since I'm on a tight budget, a new vacume cleaner would be a welcome gift, because the person knew I couldn't afford an upgrade on my own. No, I would not be offended, I would look at it as a practical gift, just like if I got a new cordless drill set. As a matter of fact, I got a new set of box wrenches for Christmas one year, but that's me, I like tools. I got a new toaster oven because mine finally gave out. That was cool, too. The implication for me, is just a matter of what got old and needed to be replaced or upgraded. A nice card takes care of the sentimental part of the gift.
Q:My bagless vacuum is about 1 year old. We change our HEPA filter and the round filter under the dirt trap, clean the washable sponge as instructed. Recently, all of a sudden the machine smells really bad like a dead body is inside the machine. Anyone with a solution?
pour some baking soda on the floor suck it up - that should fix it!
Q:Where can i get good deals on dirt devil vacuum cleaners and supplies?
You okorder It's the best vacuum cleaner OKorder store
Q:My roommate is allergic to cats, and when I got my kitty I told her that if her allergies got too bad, I'd send him to live with my dad, but I do NOT want to do that and am trying to find a good vacuum for someone with allergies. I'm looking for something with a HEPA filter. Can be bagless or have bags. I'd really prefer an upright to a canister. Looking in the price range of $60-$200, but willing to hear suggestions for more expensive models. MUST HELP REDUCE ALLERGENS!!
People okorder / okorder it has a six-layer filtering system (including the HEPA, germicidal UV, and active carbon filter) and odor, dust and allergen sensors which easily detect pet dander, dust mites, chemicals, pollen, mold spores and many more.
Q:Hi, I'm looking for an answer from someone who subscribes to consumer reports magazine. When was their last article on vacuum cleaners published? I'm looking for a comprehensive review of vacuums, not one article on a specific model. Thanks for the help
Pop into your local library and see if they have the 2010 Buying Guide that Consumer Reports puts out. That's the last one I remember seeing. However, I will warn you, I was disappointed. They rated Hoover very high and after having two of them and nothing but trouble with no results from Hoover, I went to a Bissell Healthy Home. Now happy as a clam with my vacuum.
Q:preferably dyson brand but it doesnt really matter
Facepalm -_-
Q:They look like vacuum cleaners
unrelaiable therefore they suck really bad.
Q:Your Open QuestionShow me another ? Professional House Cleaners only Please answer question about Commercial Vacuum cleaners?I have a house cleaning business, we clean 2 homes a day and after buying 14 vacuum cleaners in the past 2 years I am done with spending money on vacuums that don't hold up or are 2 heavy or have so many filters to clean that you spend your evenings doing that. Does anyone have any suggestions on what vacuum we should buy? Just like you the house's we clean have an array of flooring, wood, tile, oriental rugs, carpet. Please help with your experience Thanks!!
I have had the same issues time and time again, either too heavy, won't fit under furniture, hoses tear, too may filters and like you tired of replacing them. I purchased a Dyson about a year ago and it has not lost suction yet. I use it everyday it only needs one filter and I wash it out as directed which is perfect for me. The extension pole on it is great too for getting dusty spots and spiderwebs. I comes with a lot of different attachments so i can manage multiple surfaces. I will never buy another vacuum brand.
