Q: I am looking to buy a vacuum cleaner, but I want a small and light one. However, I saw that it doesn't have a bag in it, and the other one has a bag but it look kinda big. Can someone please advise me any vacuum that is light, less dirty (maybe by using the bag), and cheap?: lots of cheap out there, but not well made. I favor the Miele Star its mid price lightweight, quiet, well made and mine has lasted for the last 10 years!

Q: What did people do before vacuum cleaners?: swept, mopped, scrubbed on hands and knees. The standard for clean was different.

Q: The vacuum has a really loud noise to it. At one point I seen grease/oil on the floor while it was running. The noise sounds like it needs grease or something. I'm thinking the bearings, but that's just a guess. Please can someone help or advise of a website where I can find the quot;how to fixquot;. Dyson support was useless. They just said to send the vacuum in or bring to a repair center at my cost. My options aren't big, I live in a very small town that doesn't have many or if any repair centers. You don't have to spend that kind of money to get a good quality vacuum cleaner. I own a Hoover, have had it for 17 years, have never had any trouble with it, and it works like a charm. I've heard a lot of bad things about Dyson, including the lack of customer service. If you want a 'premium' vacuum cleaner, Oreck is very good quality and the company stands behind its exceptionally good warranty.

Mine does ok with the floors but the edge cleaner is bad.: I can tell you this I go thru vacs like water.the best on to get is the one with the highest amp but no matter which one you buy none of them will do what you want that's why the added a hose and attachment.it would have to have sum suction to do that and if it did you couldn't get it to move.so for what it is worth use the hose and the attachment
