Q: For the past 6 months or so, my cat has been peeing and pooping on my throw rug (which, just so you know, was an expensive rug from Crate Barrel which I love). My rug is stained from cat pee, and I just had it cleaned deodorized this past weekend in the hopes that she would stop using it as a litter box. I used to think that she did it out of spite, but I can't figure out why she'd be mad at me or my live-in boyfriend (who she belongs to, but we've been living together for about a year and dating for a year and a half, so she knows me well and is very loving towards me). I don't know how to get her to stop using my rug as a toilet. Any suggestions? And, putting her to sleep is not a suggestion. We love her. But, if she doesn't stop pooping and peeing on my rug I don't know what II'll do!
keep the litter box clean clean it all the time everyday if nessecary next clean that rug like there is no tomorrow scrub and scrub and scrub do not put it back out yet get the cat fixed and petsmart sells something called cataway use it your in a tough situation that is very hard to break just keep that cat pan clean then put the carpet back after a couple days i had this problem with a cat and i loved the cat but my house was kicking he had to go but dont give up and remember keep the pan clean
Q: cleaning the carpet
rent one of those machine things
Q: I went to a heritage craft festival last year, and there was a lady making rugs. It was at a Colonial period mansion, and she said the rugs were found in the storage of the family, and never finished. So she was using similar materials, and following the pattern to finish them. I guess it was rug hooking, but I don't remember her calling it that. She would take a very thick piece of wool and pull it through the backing to make a little loop, then, on the same piece of wool, just make a loop in the next hole, no knots, no cut pieces..she said the fabric was so tight and the wool so thick that it would hold it in, and eventually the bottom would become felt from walking on it (she showed me the older portions of the piece). Is that the same as regular modern rug hooking? it doesn't seem like it...does anyone know if this sounds right? does anyone rug hook like this? Thanks!
If this an high priced purchase and you're questioning of keepin this rug for a protracted time, think of roughly your furniture. Will you opt to alter up that room in some years? if so, %. the rug which will strengthen with you and your loved ones. If that may no longer an high priced purchase or you could cope with to pay for to purchase a clean rug each and every so usually, then bypass with what you quite like. area rugs are an incredible thank you to alter the topic of the room without changing hundreds of dollars worth a furniture. solid success.
Q: Is there a not too expensive way to pretreat really bad carpet stains before I use a before I go over the entire carpet with a steamclean pro home machine thanks
Depends on the stain. Tell me more. Here are a few pointers: 1. Koolaid is taken out by using a steam iron, a PURE WHITE cloth, Ammonia (preferably lemon scented), and a steam Iron. Mix the Ammonia 1to1 with water and pour a small amount on the Kool-Aid stain. Place the white cloth on top of the stain and heat it with the Iron. Repeat as necessary. It is called Heat Transfer, the stain will soak up into the white cloth. If you use a colored cloth, the color from the cloth will soak into the carpet. 2. Urine when it dries turns to alkaline. The way to remove alkaline is with acid. Vinegar is an acid and works well. Also Protein stains like Blood and Urine set when you try to clean them with hot water, so use cold water when cleaning these types of stains. 3. For every 18 degrees of water temperature your soap will clean 100 percent better. Use VERY hot water to clean carpet, just so long as you are below 200 degrees. Thus the reason they call it steam cleaning. 4. Mechanical action (scrubbing) is the best way to clean most stains. Get vicious. 5. Always test any spot remover in a closet to make sure it is not taking out the color of your carpet. 6. Buy powdered water softener in your laundry soap section of the store and use it with your soap, it will make it work far better. 7. Keep it simple Stupid. Regular degreasers and cleaners work well in traffic lanes. Get a cheap pump up sprayer in your garden section of Walmart, add simple green and water, and spray the High traffic areas of your carpet and any spots. This is called a TLC or Traffic Lane Cleaner.
Q: im looking for like a plain white rug with a solid border around it that does not touch the edges but jsut borders it kinda outlines the shape its going to be put im my room so any ideas?
Walmar or RoomsToGo. Good Luck.
Q: What is the best way to remove cat vomit stains from carpet?
try woolite foaming carpet cleaner. my cats used to throw up alot, especially when they were like kittens
Q: add a small amount of metal fiber in carpet is to
So in order to prevent the electrification by friction and having fire, it can transfer the charge to the earth timely,in case of that, we need to add some stainless steel wire in the carpet: When people walk on the carpet and the stainless steel is a conductor, so the friction of soles and the carpet will produce electric charge: due to the electrification friction and stainless steel is a conductor, so it will produce more and more charge and easily cause fire if the charge does not transferred in time.
Q: my carpets are very dirty.
If the professional guarantees to get your carpets cleaned, it might be wroth it. It has been my experience, that they come in and go over the room once, and that's all you get. They do spot treat stains. We do it our selves, and we can keep going until the used water is not black, more of a khaki color. I know I have removed mos of the dirt when the water is just a little discolored and doesn't have actual dirt in it. Carpets are filthy, and collect everything that walks int he door. I also have a family member who uses a power wheel chair, and that thing isn't clean either. Mats at the door ill collect most of the dirt that comes in, but they are slippery for W/c's so I can't use them. :-( I use Bissell's carpet shampoo, as it has removed things that Rug Doctor shampoo missed, and I thought were permanent stains.
Q: What color of the carpet looks good with blue floral tile?
it depends on your personal interests.
Q: I have a drain under the carpet almost in the middle of the room that needs to be fixed. The room is a big square and the only way to get to the drain is to remove the carpet. I dont know how to remove carpet and how to put it back in without damaging it or making it look bad. how do i do this? i dont really wanna pay someone to come do it for me
Usually carpet is held down with a tack strips that run along the wall. Just pry up the carpet at the walls roll the carpet up to the point you can fix the pipe...... Then after it's finished then roll the carpet back and use a knee kicker or power stretcher to stretch the carpet back into place, then tuck the carpet between the tack strip and the wall...... Also there should be a crawl space under the house, to get to the pipes.......There should some kind of access door to get down there, you just have to find it...... Anyway Good Luck..............
