Q: I have a large black rug. The hairs in it are impossible to get out! I've tried vacuuming AND brooming. The hairs won't budge. Does a professional need to clean it or can I clean it myslef?Thanks.: Take the rug to a laundromat and use the oversize commercial washer, cold water and just a little detergent; too much soap and the rug will not spin dry well. Use the oversize commercial dryer too and use low heat. A lot of the hair should be gone now. If not, use your vacuum again to see if that makes any difference. Now if you're still dissatisfied with the result, weigh the cost of a professional rug cleaner against the cost of a new area rug. Life is too short to stress over an area rug princess!

Q: I am trying to decorate my house and I'm really stuck on what color of area rug to get for my living room!!!My walls are beige with white trim. Hardwood wood floors in the living room and bedrooms. Black granite floors in the halls, kitchen, breakfast area, and bathrooms. Q: What is the average cost to remove carpet?: If you do it yourself, you will save the labour charges. To remove wall to wall carpet, you need to have a good carpet knife; a good HD vacuum, and a smooth edge nail puller. Simply pull off the carpet from the smooth edge strips, then remove the strips with a nail puller. You may want to sand the floor where the nail strips were, but use steel wool and you won't have as much work for the refinish. OR call up a carpet removal/installer for his quote for the job.

But remember, check them ALL out or as many as you can, cause you never know~ you may be feeling black gold now, but that's pretty taste specific, won't be as easy to change your colors themes. Of course it would depend on the design, too. What if you got an all black rug (not recommended just cause of the lint problem) then incorporated gold accents? Remember too, that your couch is a dark blue... have you seen those rug squares that you can make your own design with? They come in squares, that stick to your floor. You can make your own design, they come in every color imaginable, if you stain one, you can just pull it up replace it! You can find them anywhere, too they have them at Lowes also. Good luck!

Any suggestions on gettin it clean?: The best product is goo gone it works on carpet and gets ALL stains out, it is very good! Look it up online. You could also try oxi clean which works vry well, but id stick with goo gone is they are very deep stains.

What do you call the type of rug that instead of being made out of yarn, is made out of jagged-cut t-shirt material hooked through rug backing?
