- He does not know the difference between your old rug and your posh carpets. If you allow him to chew an old rug, he will chew your carpets. Instead give him raw carrots to chew and RAW meaty bones from the butchers. He is old enough to be taken for reasonably long walks. Hopefully he is not left alone during the day, if you do this he will be bored, miserable and lonely and he will chew anything to ease his boredom
- Q: I just bought a new roll of Reptile Carpet. I've never used Reptile Carpet before, but I decided that you have to experiment with substrates to see what your reptiles like best. Anyway, I want to know how to clean the carpet. The roll I bought came in a kit with other things made by Zilla (reptile supply brand. and it didn't come with any instructions on cleaning the carpet. I know you can clean it, because I've read online comments on Zilla being a very good brand of carpet because of it's eco-friendly (made out of recycled bottles re-usable by washing). Could tell me how they clean their Zilla Reptile Carpet, or any other brand that is basically that same as Zilla's carpet? I would like to know how you clean it, what detergents/soaps (if any) to use, and how to dry (is it machine dryable, or air dryable?)

- stop using chemicals.... they will most likely set the spot in(assuming that hasn't already happened). Carbon tetrachloride and peroxides are notorious for this. use a white rag that is damp with non-ammonia windex... rub in a circle and blot. if this doesn't work, leave it to a pro. extraction is key. you need to remove the soda, not add detergent.

- Q: I installed laminate flooring in our living room this past weekend and where the laminate meets the carpet in our bedroom there is about 1 inch of a height difference.Can someone please tell me how to fix this?
- If the carpet is that much higher ( not uncommon for laminate) you should have built up the laminate before hand. Not much you can do now. That correct transition pc is a carpet bar made for laminate. DO NOT use any metal pc between the to as some people suggested. The metal will make noises as it rubs against the laminate. - Kay's answer is the perfect. i exploit a rotary cutter, a metallic ruler and a slicing mat to cut back strips. I fold the cloth in 0.5 then in 0.5 again. caution- a fabric rotary cutter is quite sharp. do not go away it round young children. be careful even as utilizing it.
- Q: How do I keep the the coffe table from digging into the area rug (persian rug) and moving around ?
- To protect the rug fibers from being crushed by the coffee table legs, place small pieces of carpet padding under each of the legs. As long as the furniture is lightweight, then your persian rug should stay in tact. It is not wise to place heavy objects or heavy furniture on persian or oriental rugs for fear of damaging the rug fibers.
