Q: Or better yet is there a 100' snake with phantom power? Can't seem to find anything online.
You should be able to push power through a 100' cable. A mic doesn't draw much current so wire size shouldn't be an issue.
Q: Currently I have a 250GB drive and Writable CD/DVD. I wand to add a 3.51TB internal drive
PSUs with only one SATA power cnnector are quite rare right now; if your PC is up to date (say 3 years or newer) you should have two or more. If not, you can get a branching cable for about $5; that would require that the two drives are close to each other to connect both. You can get a simple converter for even less; that one uses one of the old style power connectors but gives you more freedom on where to put the new drive. You would need another SATA cable, too. Id go with a quality cable to ensure that it doesnt cause any issues with SATA II, which the new drive and your mobo probably support. Check if you want a straight cable or one that connects at an angle - they are both around $10 to $15. Hope that helps.
Q: need to buy for sharp aquas 52 inch flat screen
It's a universal AC power cord. The same one you would use for most other flat panels, desktop pcs, and the PS3. Go to your local Best Buy. They have them in 2 places: Playstation 3 accessories or the PC cable isle in Computers. $10 give or take a couple bucks.
Q: I just bought a Sandisk MP3 player e200 series. It come with a USB connector which according to the product manual, its also used for power charging.Unfortunatly, it doesn't work with my laptop. I've tried to used the USB cable to charge but no power transmit to the mp3 at all. I guess my USP port in my laptop has too low capacity.I would like to buy a separate power cable for my MP3 but I am not sure if it is available. I can not find information in the Sandisk website either.Anyone knows that is there a seperate cable power for this model and where can I buy it?
Try OKorder, there are all many options there, Sandisk products, as well Sandisk compatible products. Good luck.
Q: i want to use a 120 vac extention cord wire for the power cable to my amp, is this safe? extention cords have a heavier gage than the wire in radio shack and such and is much cheaper. i dont see why this would be a problem considering car batteries are only 12 volts vs. 120 volt extention cord raiting
Well....that depends on how big the amp is. An extension cord has either 2 or three wires inside at somewhere between 16 and 12 gauge wire. You could twist all the conductors together and be good up to about 40 amps with three 12 gauge wires. The issue with amplifiers is current not voltage. The thicker the wire the more current it will handle. Most any wire you buy is rated at least 120V. Check what size fuse the amp requires, if it is more than 30 to 40 amps I would buy the right size single wire for the amp. Also, fuse the wire at the battery. Fire is not our friend. :)
Q: difference between power and control cable?
Control cables as their name suggests, send signals to control the functioning of an equipment. Belonging to the family of instrumentation cables, these cables allow distribution of data or signals that have low voltage. Designed specifically for automation controls, these cables have a copper conductor, which is enveloped in galvanized steel braid. Usually used for regions that require less than one ampere, these cables can carry signals up to 40 volts. These cables usually bear a PVC insulation that protects them from impacts and harsh climatic conditions. Power cables are cables, which transfer both high energy and low energy from the source to the equipments. Specifically designed to best suit active and neutral environment, these cables bear a thick outer sheath compared to ordinary Control cables. The external sheath of the Power cables with its immense strength and protection enables the cables to transfer high volume of energy without any tension or strain. Unlike Control cables, Power cables often have a unique colour code system that distinguishes the high voltage carriers from their low voltage counterparts.
Q: I have a two year old HP Compaq 6710s laptop, and since yesterday, the second I plug in my power cable, my CPU usage goes up from a normal amount to 100% immediately, making my computer really really slow. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Do you think there's something wrong with the cable or the computer?
i wouldn't of thought that would of been a problem charging, have you tried different sockets around the house ? that's all i can think of at the moment
Q: I have one Ethernet cable running to a WiFi antenna. The antenna is powered by the Ethernet cable, using PoE. I want to be able to plug the current cable into a hub or switch, so I can connect other devices (non PoE) like an Xbox 360 or PC, but I also need to maintain the PoE to the antenna. Taking the antenna off PoE is not an option. What kind of device can I use to split this PoE line into PoE and non PoE cables?
The easy answer is that you need a POE switch. There's nothing really special about a POE cable, a POE enabled piece of equipment just uses the extra pins to provide the power. If you try setting up POE switch dumb switch antenna, the dumb switch will not forward the power to the Antenna. You can get a dumb switch, put it where your POE switch is now, then move your POE switch to wherever it is that you want to add equipment, and that should work if you don't want to spend the extra cash for another POE device. In that scenario, it's just a non-PoE connection from the regular switch to the new spot for the PoE switch, then PoE from that switch to the antenna, and the remainder of the devices will connect to the additional ports as non-PoE
Q: Fourth, what causes the power cable fire accident
Once the cable in the event of fire, the fire ferocious, rapid spread, in the burning will occur when a large number of harmful gases, resulting in fighting difficulties
Q: So, recently i purchased a new graphic card and it requires two 6 Pin PCI Express Power Cables. My current power supply generates 650W and only has 1 six pin PCI express power cable. Im at a loss to what to do now. Do i purchase a new power supply that has more pci express cables? Or do i open it up and add a new cable? Thanks if you can take the time to answer my question.
you can purchase a molex to 6 pin pci express power adapter, this will fix the problem. This solution will work only if you have a spare molex connector you are not using Forget about what that other person said, that your power supply isn't big enough. 650w is more than enough to power a mid to high range graphics card
