- Q: i have a lightning audio amp, it was wokring a few months ago when i pulled it out of my car, i tried yesterday to see if it worked, it turned one for 5 seconds and went into protection mode, so i tested it with the battery and it did the same, and the cables got hot, and help please
- yeah you probably need bigger hots and grounds your wires should never get hot
- Q: Hi,I have a set of Sony speakers that are a few years old. They have no power cable (nowhere to plug a cable in either) and the aux cable has no jacks. It is just two split wires. How can I connect them to my TV?Thanks,Aaron
- Your unpowered (standard) speakers do not Plug in to a TV. They Plug in to an amplifier/receiver like all other standard speakers in this world do. Your speaker wires are not AUX cables, they are eh, speaker wires. speakers left over from all in one movie disc player/radios wont match up with normal recievers. You throw them away with the defunct disk player (HTiB). I do not believe for a second you do not know what a speaker is, or how normal speakers connect. This technology has been around for a century.
- Q: Whats the Power Pass mean on a coax cable splitter?
- It means it can pass DC current, such as used for satellite LNBs and amplified antennas
- Q: most double power cable 2900pros need around 550W.
- If okorder / if you havent i would recommend a HD3850 or 3870 as they have similar peformace with about half the power draw
- Q: This is a very small system, just a tape deck, cd player, mp3 input, and a phono pre. This is then run from the L and R outputs from the mixer into a 2 channel EQ, then to a power amp (2x250 @ 2ohm), and from there to 2 vintage kustom speakers.Should I be using TRs or TS cables for all of these connections?FYI the speakers are about 25ft from the power amp on the opposite side of the room
- TRS cables are used for two channels, either to patch stereo signals from one component to another, or for send and return in an effects loop. TS cables are used for single-channel patching, and would typically be used between a mixer and a power amplifier. Speaker cables are different from signal cables, even though they often use the same plugs. Speaker cables should be made of 18AWG or larger 2-conductor wire, whereas signal cables shoud be made of shielded (screened) wire. Be certain to use the correct type of cable for the type of signal being conveyed. You may want to get some local help for this. Someone near you should be able to assist.
- Q: Can I do the big 3 upgrade by only doing the 2 ground cables(battery to chassis and engine block to chassis) now and doing the power to the alternator at another time? Will this give me a little performance boost until I can get enough material?

- Q: Hi. I have a Marina Power Filter (Slimline S15) and the power cable that is connected to it appears to need to be submerged in the water. That doesn't seem safe at all but the instructions (although poorly written) seem to point to that being the case,Advice please.
- It's safe as long as the cable and filter are not damaged. They whole unit is sealed in plastic so the water and electricity can't meet up. Ian
- Q: is it a power cable? parallel port?
- The monitor needs a power cable and a data cable. The data cable will plug in to the video socket on your PC.
- Q: I have an old scanner, HP Scanjet 3400C, but I have lost the power supply cable. The power socket the cable fits into looks like a small single hole with a little pin in the middle. Can I replace it and what is it called?Thank you very much.
- You're okorder /
- Q: Due to the large spans the signal must travel it must be amplified or reconstructed at one point, taking into consideration that everything happens underwater, where does the box that reconstructs the signal get it's power.
- I don't know but it sounds pretty sick. Maybe electric eels??
