Q:The computer is a Hp compaq.So I took the connector out of the computer but left it in the power socket.When I tried to reinsert the connector I hit the metal back panel of the computer and it made contact so I was wondering what is the part(s) that is likely to be broken?I want to know it so I can replace the damaged parts.Thanks in advance of your help.: The power cable should have enough rubber/plasitc to stop contact with power supply directly unless you seen a spark I would try the a different cable. Is the power supply turned on? If it did spark and is turned on try swapping the power supply. Actually I missread, it touched the case itself so now you have to start swapping all parts starting with the power supply, then motherboard if that doesnt work. I hope you have some spare parks around. you could also take out the power supply and you will see a long 24-pin connector you can short the 1 green wire with a black one to see if the power supply turns on. The connector is a cable comming from the PSU not on the motherboard. And lastly each time you try to start the computer after swapping somthing only have the essentials to have it start. No CD drive extra HDD etc.

Q:I'm lost i cant find a hole in my ford c-max firewall to install my power cable for amp can someone help me as i am traveling this sat to France by car .: In most vehicles there are spare holes filled with rubber plugs. Pop one out with a screwdriver and make a hole in plug a little smaller than the size of the wire for a very tight fit. If it's a smaller size power wire, it can sometimes be run through the same grommet as the vehicles main harness. Be very careful not hurt the existing wire. I have seen people get careless and screw the harness up and it's not easy or cheap to fix. When doing this I usually use a stiff wire (a small diameter yet long screwdriver can work too) and slide it through the grommet. I then use electrical tape to secure the power wire to stiff wire and pull it through. Make sure your penetration point is still leak proof after doing this. You may need to use some silicone and or electrical tape to seal it up.

Q:When I say different types, I mean different types of Xbox 360 203 watt power cables. And I know that my xbox 360 is compatible with 203 watt power cables.: No, it really doesn't matter. All xbox 360's can use the 203W power supply. Though you can not use the 175w or 150w power supply with a 203w xenon motherboard xbox. There are 2 different types of 203w power supply, there's a 2 pin and a 3 pin. It really doesn't matter which one you get, one is grounded and one isn't.

Q:When I plug in my xbox that wire with the box on it has a red light instead of a green and ocassionally it turns yellow and my xbox wont turn on how do I fix this: lol its not the red ring of death as the first answer said and even if it was that CAN be fixed.its obviously something wrong with the adapter (the box with the wire on it lol) and not the xbox itself so if your xbox is still under warranty then you can just send it back to get fixed.if not then you may need to invest in a new adapter/power cable

You'll actually have to upgrade BOTH wires to properly do the big 3. 1. + Batt to + Alternator output post 2. - Batt to frame/chassis 3. frame/chassis to engine block 4. (For extra) engine block to - Batt All in at least 0 awg gauge wire. I've done my in 0/2 awg gauge welding cables.

Q:I have a ZXi8008 and there's a cable that goes out to the head unit to turn on the amplifier, which is different than the power cable. But in this car, i have not installed a new head unit. Where do I hook up this cable otherwise? And what should I do to fix whatever the problem is, assumming that the electronic doesn't turn on after i yank the power cord out?: Yanking a power cable out of a PC that's running, could lead to a voltage spike. This can fry your power supply, and possibly go further. (Motherboard, ram, graphics card) Same thing, with having a computer power cable plugged into a surge protector, and then plugging it into the power supply. YOU, can replace the components of a Personal Computer. It's too technical and dangerous to try it with a TV, unless you're a qualified tech, and have the required tools.

What phone can you get the will work if the power and cable goes out: You need either 1. A conventional land-line WITH a CORDED phone. If it's not corded, you need a wireless phone with a battery-powered base 2. If you use VOIP (internet-based phone) you should look into a service provider that gives you a modem with a battery. But really, unless you use a regular land-line with a corded phone, you are relying on batteries which need replacing (even the rechargeable ones) plus it's difficult (not impossible) for 911 calls to automatically be traced to your location.
