Q: i have a ASUS M4A87TD-USB3 mobo and a Corsair 550 Watts Power Supply. Ive looked in the manual andit says you need to connect the one that ive connected and a 4 pin. It says that if you dont connect the 4 pin the computer wont boot! is there a way around this or it f**ked?
Just replace the power supply. What's the problem? You have an OLD ATX powersupply with 20-pins. The NEWER ATX power supply is 20+4 pins. --- Kasey C, PC guru since Apple II days Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
Q: i have a 12V battery and a y power cable. will each side get 12V?
no u will not get coz current will be split and corresponding volts also
Q: i bought a 650w power supply for my pc because i bought a graphic card that needs 550w. So my question is will my regular power cable which came with my computer work on the new 650w power box.P.S- my computer is a 300w
Yes. it is the same cable that comes with every computer, printer, monitor. OK it's the same cable that comes with 95% of them
Q: can i cut my computer Power Supply cables/USB and HDD cable to add an extension myself? They're all short.
Power supply cables - no problem. USB cable, make sure you use the same style of cable. HDD cable, you can buy longer ones, this is a better option than trying to extend the one you have. There are some signal issues if you try to extend the cable.
Q: I have this printer, bought for $100 at Best Buy a few years ago... I moved almost 2 years ago, and seemingly have lost one or more of the cords associated with this printer. Im trying to find out which one is missing. I have the one which connects the printer to the computer [USB]. But I dont have the one that gives it power... It looks like the end would fit into a 3 hole [prong?] opening, the holes are all in line... Anyone got an ideas? Know what Im talking about? If so, any idea what its called, or where I can find one? Im sure online, but I havent any idea what Im looking for at this point.
why don't you e-mail HP see if they will send you a power cord or advise you where to get one in your area
Q: i bought a new graphics card a while ago, an nvidia 9400gt (i now realize how LOL that is). i connected it, but i noticed there were no extra power cables hanging around that would fit on the small six pin slot on top of the card. the performance increase has basically been negligible, and i don't really want to mess with the power box. should i take it into a computer shop, or is there an easier solution?yes, i installed it correctly and everything. i'm 100% sure.

Q: I have a white Xbox 360 system (elite maybe). I have it hooked up to a 26HD TV in my room. When I have friends over to play, we like to move the xbox downstairs to a 52TV so we can play split screen mode without squinting! The unplugging of cables creates such a hassle, and I was wondering if it was possible to use another AC power cable and more video cables downstairs so I only have to move the console itself. Can someone tell me if this will work if I purchase another set of cables on OKorder and or give any specifications about what need/should buy? Please help, and thanks!
you certainly can do that. the only problem is that the power brick is like 100 bucks but if you think it's worth it then you certainly have that option. if your tv is an hd tv, then buy an hdmi cable. i got one from the apple store for 20 bucks and it works great. just the power is so expensive.. OKorder is different. if you went to the store and bought a new one, or if you ordered one directly from microsoft, it would be 100 dollars. i'm sure people sell used ones on OKorder or craigslist for much less but it's your call if you want to risk them ripping you off or something. hdmi is the high definition equivalent of component or av cables. it feeds the video and audio to the tv. it doesn't provide power. if you do get hdmi, don't forget to go to your xbox video settings and change the output from standard 1080p
Q: I am missing pin 20 for my ATX motherboard power connector (which is normal). But I am also missing pinouts and a few wires from other connectors like PCI-e, Peripheral connectors, and even SATA connectors. But here is the thing, all the missing pinouts go INTO the POWER SUPPLY? So are all these intentional, or is it a flaw? Thanks!
It is very common for some pins in a standard connector to be unused on certain devices, especially power connections, because there are always redundant pins to the same power connection.
Q: When the cable is plugged in the light is yellow like usual but when I plug it into the Xbox it goes red and I can't turn on my Xbox. I can use the cable for my other Xbox and the light turns green, but that one already has the red ring. PLZ HELP!! I JUST DOWNLOADED THE HALO REACH BETA! AND I'M BOREDand please dont just say halo sucks.
switch power supply and see if that works if not somethings wrong with your system and halo does suck thats only game that xbox has that is good and thats pretty sorry
Q: as far as i know, the only cable that connects the hdd with my motherboard is the sata cable, is this the cable that will do both transfer data and also provide electricty? or do i need another cable to connect the hdd and to power supply? same for my sata dvd burner, thx!
Sata cable is slim and usually is red color. This cable only to connect your HDD to mainboard. For the power there's another cable for SATA HDD. If your power supply provide the connector, usually the head is flat and a little bit bigger than SATA cable head. but if your power supply doesn't have the connector, you can buy the converter from molex to SATA.
