Q: I have a 2002 Chevy blazer 4.3 motor we'll I found some wires that look like trailer wires on the back of the car and I'm trying to connect a 4flat trailer plug in. So the wires are following on the car. Yellow is left blinkerGreen is right blinkerBrown is running lights Blue is brake lightsWhite groundSo the 4 flat wires are as following White groundYellow is left turnGreen is right turnBrown is taillightsSo my question is how can I get my brake lights and running lights on the trailer plug in. Cause I have 5 wires on my vehicle and only 4 on my trailer plug. Please help
You have to splice into the rear brake / turn signal / running light wiring and splice in the trailer harness cable. @jo, If you have a separate (blue) brake light circuit, you will need an adapter module to connect the 4 wire up.
Q: How do I wire an outlet that has two black and to white wires. It this case the white being the HOT wires?? Don't know why all the white wires in my house are HOT.. And the black are nuetral???
If as you say white are (hot) .This situation it's called reverse wiring and has violation .In the main control box check the weirs if white is connect to the neutral terminal (a plate with lot of screws) and black is exit from breakers ,your wiring is correct and may one place in circuit branch by mistake neutral is connect to the hot and hot to neutral (ammature work).
Q: I was re-wiring a light switch and a fan control knob and I accidentally cut a wire too short. This wire comes out the front of the fan dial and goes around to the back, connecting to another wire, thus placing a wire nut impossible. Can I just link the two ends together, then seal it with electrical tape? Or do I have to buy a new fan dial (which will cost $25, a cost I'm trying to avoid)? Will just the tape be safe enough?
No they are NOT absolutely necessary, however the typical DIY'er does not have the skills or the tools to make a splice the old fashioned way. You can solder the two wires together after twisting them together in line and then cover them with shrink wrap. If you know what I am talking about and have the tools then wire nuts are not absolutely necessary, however if you do not have a clue how to do this or the necessary tools are then yes wire nuts are necessary. Just twisting them together and wrapping the connection with tape is not a good way to go.
Q: hey could anyone tell me from the stock am radio in my nissan 720 what wires are the constant (memory) power and the accessory (ignition) wire so i can attach these to my new radio
there is no reason to cut any wiring to install any aftermarket head unit.go to wall mart to the car audio area and give them the yr make and model of your ride and they will sell you the right plug in for your type car.this wires to your new head units wiring harness and plugs into the plugs you took your factory radio out of.they call it plug and play and it comes with a wiring diagram for your type car so follow it. its color coded. if you did cut off the plugs your best bet is to put them back.this part is about 9 dollars.
Q: have black (hot) and 2 whites from the house. Got Black,green.blue.and white from the fan. Any clues on how to wire this? There is a light switch involved. I know to match the colors but what do with the blue (light) wire is beyond me.
Mark is Correct except for one thing that caught my attention: you said you have 2 White Wires and 1 Black Wire coming from the house.....WHY 2 White Wires and only 1 Black, Doesn't add up Correctly, unless one of those White Wires was marked with a piece of Black Tape to identify it as a second Hot Wire which would then be used to separate the Fan Motor from the Fan Light by each having its own separate power source.......Be Careful!!
Q: sence my stock head unit has no remote wire, when I hook the amp up, will it still drain the battery? I have everything connected, but the deck does not have no remote wire, and if it does I have no idea how to locate it. I am worried it will continue to run the amp when the car is off and drain the battery. Am I worried for nothing? If it will continue to drain the battery, how do I prevent this from happening?
use a test light ($5), you just need to connect the remote wire to a wire that is only hot when the car is on, (like the ignition power wire -not constant- going to the radio) and on factory radios it is usually a wire that is made to send the signal to the power antenna
Q: On the wires leading to existing system I can see the main power lead. However all the other wires are different in color leading to existing valves. From the wire bundle two black wires (the only black wires) lead out to nothing and were left with no electrical end caps protecting. Manual says nothing on wiring valves. Any ideas on black wires? Or how can I splice in to existing system wires at valve point having one valve working at a time when system is operating? Am I going to have to get a new controler or run new wires existing controler?
The wire that goes to all the valves is the common. The other color wires go to the other wire on the valves. One colored wire per valve. That is how the valve gets power. It is common to run extra wires when doing a sprinkler system. So the 2 wires that are not being used are there just in case you ever need them. So tie one wire from each valve to the common then the other wire to an unused wire. Just make sure that your timer is capable of handling the extra valves.
Q: have a kenmore dryer with 3 wires now had it will not dry need info on wiring it so it will dry
Yea a little more info not drying check the vent for lint clogged or you heating element burnt out take dryer hose of back and see if hot air comes after you run it for 2-3 min here is 3 wirer dryer hook up
Q: how i do that?please help.
The injector wiring is easy to find. First remove the air cleaner and filter. Underneath you will see two walnut shaped metal items with two wires going to each of them. This is the injectors. If you wish to remove the wires, simply pinch the tabs together and pull up and the wiring comes loose. Be careful not to let the rubber bridge underneath drop down into the engine.
Q: I've been meaning to find floral wire for a DIY project I'm going to attempt. Does anyone know where to buy floral wire? I'm not sure if Michael's sells it. Please let me know from personal experiences.
Hi Vanessa Diane, Floral wire can be bought at any local craft store ( Michaels etc ) and also your local WalMart. It does come in varying thicknesses. You will see on the outer packaging as the wire is numbered. Example, the lower the number the sturdier the higher the number thinner the wire. Happy DIY !
