Q:I know there must be a difference, and reason why some wires have a solid strand behind the rubber, or some have several strands. can someone explain to me how it works and the differences in wire. m trying to get my head into electricity. resources would be good too.: you ask a fairly broad question first, the larger the wire, the more current it can handle as far as stranded wire, it flexes more during use and vibration and heating, etc. the solid wire is the smallest size and most accurate diameter if that is important such as high frequency

Q:I have this ipod cord in my car to play music off of, and at first it started cutting out. I would move the wire in a specific spot to a position to where it would work. Then eventually it just stopped working all together, so im assuming the wires inside have been damaged. Now as i said before in a specific spot so im pretty positive i know where it is broken at, but ive never actually spliced a wire, or soldered before. This is where i need help. What tools and materials will i need to fix the wire? Also, how would i fix it? Thanks for the help in advance!: The wires in those little patch cords and headphones and stuff are often very fine and hard to splice or solder. You could get you some wire cutters and wire strippers and a soldering iron and some electrical tape or shrink wrap and go at it, but it would probably be just as well to get another cord.

Q:I plugged in my new Pioneer DEH-P6500it worked for a little bit until i moved it around a littlethe speakers started to go out but the subs still sounded finei messed around with it and found the wire responsible for it allits a red wireit says AAC or somethingif i messed with the copper twist the speakers would come in and outi stripped the wire a little and put it back together but now the head unit wont even turn onand im also left with like 2 inches of red wireis my only option to get a new pioneer wire harness?what is the problem?the red wire i think supplies the power to the whole head unit because when its not connected, the whole thing turns onbut only the speakers go on and off when i messed with itbut it wont turn on anymore: You may have blown a fuse. Check the fuse on the back of the radio and your car fuse for the radio.

Q:i have a 97 chevy blazer. My fuel pump went so i purchased a new one. i did not know that the company changed the wiring on the fuel pump..all the wires are 2gether in the wiring harness and all i have to do is cut off the old harnss and wire the new one in its place. Im not sure exactly how to wire it. What do I do? do i just strip wires and twist them or what?: trace down old wires from pump / sending unit there will be one wire that goes to both the pump and sending unit....... that is ground ....mark old wires before cutting ....... then hook to same on new pump
