Q:How do electric and other companies decide on strung wires in consideration of snowfall?
There is usually a strength member wire that is incorporated into the cables that has no other purpose than support.
Q:Okay so bought 2 Kicker Comp C12-8 subs they are single voice coil, and I bought the Kicker DX300.2 amp. I would like to parallel wire thes subs to have a 4 ohm load, But I don't totally get the concept of it. Could somebody explain it, or show me a diagram, or video, or something?

Q:A wire has a resistance of 21.0 ohms. It is melted down, and from the same volume of metal a new wire is made that is three times longer than the original wire. What is the resistance of the new wire?
The resistance of the new wire is (in terms of its length, area resistivity); R2 = pL2/A2 And the resistance of the original wire is; R1 = pL1/A1 The ratio is;(resistivity will cancel because its the same for both situations) R2/R1 = L2A1/L1A2 given L2 = 3L1 R2/R1 = 3A1/A2 To find the new cross-sectional area ,require the volumes to be equal; L2A2 = L1A1 3L1A2 = L1A1 A2 = (1/3)A1 Sub this into the R2/R1 equation to get; R2/R1 = 9 R2 = 9R1 = (9)(21) = 189 ohms
Q:Our house ground wire is very long but our live and natural wires are very short. Once there was a surge in our telephone line system and both my Belkin Surge Protectors seemed to have not stopped it. The surge was stopped at my last protector when its sensitive fuse blew (it was a 10 ohm resistor fuse). Is it possible that since the natural wire is shorter than the ground wire the surge wantted to go through my PC and into the natural wire? Or is it just because the 10 ohm resistor fuse was a bit too sensitive or something? (Well it didn't blow up when there was no lightning outside)I'm thinking of making my natural wire longer by extending it so a surge finds the ground wire more attractive, is this advice able?
Check and make sure its grounded properly,if your in a high surge area look into a surge meter from your electricity company.Peace of mind,no need for buying surge protectors and wishing they work.Any lose will be insured by electric company.
Q:why is neutral wire.explain plz
For current to flow you need a complete circuit. The neutral point of the generator winding at the power station is connected to the ground or earth and the neutral point of the transformer in your local sub-station is connected to earth. Believe it or not this completes the circuit to allow the current to flow since the neutral connection in your house is connected to the local sub-station transformer neutral.
Q:just need how u think it would be wired for like the whole circuite thingy
One wire has to be in a circuit that goes to the metal center of the bottom of the bulb and the other wire goes to the metal srew threaded part of the bulb. Then you cut one wire and put the switch in between the ends. The other loose ends of wires go to the battery.
Q:Ceiling lights wire guage
What Wire Size To Use
Q:what size of wire do i need and is the new fuse box/trip box kept in garage.or where can i get wiring diagrams from
Depends if you plan on running welder or welders, lights of course and an air compressors, you requir 220 to 240 volts, the breaker box should be in your garage, now go to the welding store,or tractor supply and get 10 gauge wire, might as well get a small spool of it cause you're gonna need it,depending on the size of your garage,i own my own auto body shop and my 8 employes are either welding or running the air compresers to shoot a car,now my shop can hold 6 cars maximum inside, others stay out side,+ they're under constant survalance watch, along with the shop and my office,so theres more power being drawn there to,my electric bill is around $1,900 a month, give or take, find someone that knows what they are doing a bit with electrical work,a buddy or something,it's hard to say what it would cost with not knowing what your garage will be used to do.
Q:Am I able to do this? The wire burn the clay?
If you are referring to using a metal armature inside Sculpty, then No it will not burn the clay. You do need to follow the baking instructions though. It will bake just fine and you will be surprised how strong the sculpture is after baking.
Q:I am trying to install an outside motion activated light fixture, there is a box with a yellow wire that did not have power... I found a white wire with power and joined it to the yellow wire...and after installing the fixture (white wire to white wire, black wire to black wire) my fixture is not turning on... uld it be because of the two kind of wires??
This does not sound like a conventional setup that meets code. There are two ways to connect switched power to a box. The first is to do the switching before the box, in which case you should see one black, one white, and one bare copper wire (ground) coming out of the box. You would hook your fixture as follows: black to black, white to white, and green and bare to the box. The second configuration has the wires from the switch joining the power wires (black, white, ground) in the box. In this case, the black wire should always be hot, no matter what position the light switch is in. The wires from the switch should be the same as from the circuit: black, white and bare copper (ground). What you describe sounds very suspicious, unsafe, and not to code. Unless you are very familiar with safe electrical practices and residential wiring, I suggest you call in an electrician to troubleshoot the problem and correct it.
