Q:I have installed a new wiring harness on my trailer, and two new LED trailer lights. The tail lights work, both turn signals work, but for some reason, I do not have a brake light on the right side. Both lights are grounded to their own post, and I do have a good ground on the coupler of the trailer. If a turn signal and brake light in a 4 wire system are using the same wire (green in this case)- how can one work, while the other is not? Any good ideas? I really appreciate the help.
all sound good, but try checking your fuses also. some veh. have a different fuse for each side, and trailer lights may be separate also.
Q:where does the thin blue wire from the amp go, i know it goes to the stereo but i dont know to what wire
the blue wire to the stereo it should say antenna on it
Q:I just installed a backup camera however I am having trouble wiring it. I've read that I need to tap into the reverse wire, however I went through many wires and couldn't figure out which one is it. My cameras wire is designed to be wired in the trunk, so the wire under the hood or dash is not a possibility. 2003 G35 Sedan
You can remove your tail light and tap into the reverse wire there. It is easy to find just look at your reverse light bulb and use a multimeter to test for positive and negative (that would be the right way to do it at least). If your wanting to have the camera able to be on all the time and viewed from the headunit then you would need to wire the camera to switched accessory so it has power when the car is on and hook up your head units wiring (which you will need to do anyway to make the h/u switch to b/u cam when you go into reverse) to the reverse wire.
Q:why is neutral wire.explain plz
The neutral is held at ground, to give a path for the current to return. The ground is for safety.
Q:I have a Escort 8500 x50 that I want to use in my 04' Chevy Trailblazer, I bought the hard wire kit, but which is the quot;positive ignition wire?It already includes the T-Tap I just don't know which wire to tap into! Any Help would be great!
The positive wire should be red and the ground black. You should tap into a wire that is ignition hot. Meaning it only has power when the ignition is on so it won't run down the battery. The easiest one to use would be the accessory port on the fuse panel. The ground needs to go to any good metal part. Find a screw that is in a large metal part, like the dash support, and wire it under the screw.
Q:how do you connect two copper wires together
a wire nut
Q:Why is thin strand wire better for powering car audio?
Thin strand wire is more flexible and so stands up to the flexing and vibration in a car application better. May not be an issue in the short term, but over time the thinner strand should hold up better
Q:When I cross the black wire and ground I get a spark. Isnthis normal?
This Site Might Help You. RE: in house wiring, why is the black wire hot? When I cross the black wire and ground I get a spark. Isnthis normal?
Q:hey im wiring up a headunit to my L300 van. The factory headunit wasnt there and im having trouble connecting which colour wires to the factory colour wires. if anyone knows which coulours go to what would be much appreciatedcheers.
Hi does anyone knows where the stereo looms connect back to .i.e. fused?
Q:I moved into a home with pre-wired speakers. There is a bundle of speaker wire coming out of the wall. Each wire has 4 colors of other wire coming out of it. There are a total of 7 main wires (with four wires each) and a total of 9 speakers.
i had a cable like that, 4 wire but two clamps on speaker. what i did was have the red and black wire.. and then just connect another wire to that, making sure you connect the same wire on both ends.. eg: red with green and black with blue... color varies.. but you get the point..
