Q:PLEASE HELP ME I AM SO SCREWED!!!!!!!! ITS DARK BLUE AIL POLISH ON SUPER LIGHT CARPET!!!!!
put some acitone on your carpet,,,,,,,, thats the best acid to clean up your nail polish n e ways
Q:Hey guysSo i threw up on a living room rug, the kind that goes under a coffee table, and it's been sitting there in my backyard for a while. I know i can't get the stain out myself, so i was wondering, how much would it cost to get the rug professionally cleaned? I need to clean it. I don't need to know exact prices, just like, an average carpet cleaning price. Thanks alot guys
Well I had a huge rug 13 ft X 10 ft and it cost me $250.00, it was the king they pick up and clean and bring back. But Im sure you can get the stain out yourself. I raised 2 kids and a grandbaby and I have many times. You got a couple of options; You can take it outside and hose it down with the water hose and let it dry, it will dry faster if you drape it over a fence or car or picnic table. Or you can get carpet cleaners like Resolve in any store, I have used the one a dollar tree and I think it works just as well, Id vacuume it as well as I could first, spray foam either all over or just on the spot and rub a wet wash cloth or rag or sponge over it until it comes clean. Its alot cheaper and faster than professionals. But if you want to you probably could get a company to come out and steam clean it on your floor for about $99.00.
Q:I finally convinced my parents to let me have a pony which we are looking for now! Theres only one problem..rugs! I know I need at least one turnout,a stable, A travel/cooler to start with. I'm just not sure what type of turnout rug to get(heavyweight, medium, light) for (i) a 14.2hh pony with a trace clip(ii) a 14.2 pony with a blanket clip(iii) a 14.2hh pony with a full clipBy the way its Irish/Brittish weatherI just dont want the pony to be too warm as its spring or too cold if we have any cold spells! Thanks
you need a summer one you need a rain one you need a thick one for the cold days you need a cooler for after riding blah blah blah. and a fleece. That's about it. BUT you can find waterproof summer ones, so you can narrow that down to one (2 in 1! YAY!)
Q:Has anyone ever tried using oxyclean or any other cleaner that would work good or produce the same results as with the Rug Doctor cleaners?
Problem being! Most rug cleaning machines can't handle sud's. If oxyclean sud's up it can destroy the machine. I don't know about mixing them...I have...used Downy in those machines to soften my rug and get rid of static.
Q:Someone that moved in with me recently broke the wireless internet adapter to my computer and since I haven't figured out how to fix it I think it may be easier for me to just run a wire from the router to my computer. The problem is that the router is on the xbox in my room and the computer is in my living room 30 feet away. I am getting a 50ft Ethernet cable but I don't want to run it straight across my floor and plan to run it through my basement. I have hardwood floors in my room and there is already a hole to my basement there but my computer is over stretched carpet. I am wondering if I can put a small hole less than 1 inch in the carpet without damaging it or creating a spot that will wear more quickly.
Drive a nail through the carpet where you wnt to bring the wire back up. Locate the nail in the basement, remove the nail. Slowly drill up from the basement, trying not to get into the carpet(it will twist around the drill and damage it more than necessary.) Be sure the drilled hole is big enough for the end of the wire, slice the carpet with a razor-blade in an X and feed it through.
Q:I have regular rugs and the back of them keep peeling and the colors are faded. I have washed them numerous times. I have heard that people are now using memory foam rugs. What is the purpose for memory foam rugs?
Sounds like a bad idea to me -- I presume you mean bathroom rugs. Memory foam is not very durable with heavy use and it would be wierd under a rug since it has such a slow rebound from pressure. The rug would be lumpy all of the time, leaving footprint marks wherever you walked. You also can't machine wash or machine dry foam rugs because they will break down from the heat and rough tumbling. It sounds like you like to keep them clean so that doesn not seem like it would be an acceptable option for you. Don't buy rugs with rubber coating on the back in the first place -- it always breaks down with time. If fading is a problem, stick to rugs made from synthetic fibers like acrylic polyester or olefin fibers instead of cotton or nylon. Those synthetics will retain their dye colors better. Buy good quality thick rugs with a woven fabric back or, better yet, that are reversible. I have had high quality reversible bath rugs in both polyester and in Egyptian cotton -- they have lasted beautifully for years with frequent washing and tumble drying.
Q:I bought a turquoise accent rug from target and it's bleeding onto my tile. The label says spot clean only but if I put it in the washing machine will all of the color come out? Is there any other way to clean it?
Hmm. I have bought the same type of rug only in a dark blue with the note to spot clean. I had the same thing happen except on linoleum. I didn't really pay much for it so I thought I'd try washing it on a gentle cycle, the materials it was made from was pretty durable (don't know what yours is made of) so I washed alone and added vinegar to the wash (which is said will set the color). I washed mine on a medium load to make sure the water completely covered the rug, add the vinegar to the water as its filling. I poured mine in but if I had to guess I used about 2 cups and don't use detergent. I stopped the cycle and let the rug sit in the solution for about 1/2 hour then continued the wash cycle. I thought it did a good job. I used the vinegar/water wash a few times and noticed that it did help with the bleeding. Good luck whatever you end up doing.
Q:how can you take out a red stain from the carpet?
rip your shirt a little and say a mysterious stranger burst in and made the mess
Q:Today I put my green fuzzy rug in the dryer for about 15 minutes to clean it a bit and before i put it in the dryer it was not wet and it was all clumpy when i took it out. I also used an aroma therapy dryer sheet to make it smell good- vanilla. Now it looks like sheep wool on a sheep! I was wondering if you know how to get it back to normal. It is also in knots ( I tried combing and brushng it out). please help me asap. it says:Front: 100% acrylicBack: 100% polyesterWash in cold waterDrip dry onlyDo not bleachDo not iron(It is from walmart)if that helps
it says drip dry only. the rugs done. the polyester melted together.
Q:The rug with the rubber backing. If no, why not? I have been told not too but someone said it is no big deal.
Yes, I do it all the time with no problems, NEVER in the dryer though. I just hang it on the shower bar.
