The PU air filters are produced by domestic or importing pure wood OARS filter paper as the major filter medium. Fluid sealant has good elasticity, tensile strength(pull ≥ 88N, elongation ≥230%). Filters are able to be suitable for different climates, heat-resistant -30℃ - 120℃

 

Green air filters are environmentally protected, which are made by domestic macromolecule composite nonnon-woven filter material. All filters are high efficiency filtration effect (≥99%) and heat-resistant -30-120 centigrade.

Q: Ive heard about the filter sucking up water, but the filter location would be behind the headlight and I think there is a large piece of metal that looks like it would be under the filter. One would the CAI add much of a difference to acceleration, performance etc. Two is there much of a chance of the filter sucking up water? I‘m also thinking about getting a tube off of EBAY and removing the cheap filter and putting a KN filter on it.
Put to you like this to get the most out of it you need to change your exhaust too. Think of your engine like a giant air compressor. The more air you bring in the more your pumping out a good cat back system along with a CAI and you will notice a difference. Good luck

AEM usually you cant go wrong with them they do a lot or Research and development on their products and they are dyno proven.

So your gettin an acura rsx and wanna take da cold air intake system off of the corrola?It depends if its a pod setup your talkin bout or an over radiator cold air intake systemIf its the over radiator system then NO you cant cause chances are it aint gunna fit the rsxIf its a pod system then yes it will go onto the rsx providing you have the right sized hoseAs for replacing the intake on the corrola just go to a wreckers and pull a stock standard system off one of the same model
Q: Ok me again. with same issue lol.once again i kno intercooler wont do anything without turbocharger or super turbocharger but i still like to have one on my ford focus stock engine. now regarding installation ppl told me 1 side goes to air filter and other side to engine.Could one please be more specific about it.i still dont get the picture.where exactly in engine or air filteror about this installing intercooler with air intake will that work again not for hp or cold air im doing all this for looks
For the best answers, search on this site shorturl.im/axO8c Both are cold intake systems and the one that mounts in the front is generally a little more useful because you get faster colder air. But it also depends on where you mount the intake. Ideally if you mount it with no obstructions in the gap holes of the bumper, like you would mount a radiator or intercooler then you'd get the best bang for the buck. Positives: 1. The faster your drive the more cold air comes in. 2. The faster you drive the more force the air comes in at. (minimal) Negatives: 1. Depending on your car, the front mount intake may have a lot of piping which may slightly restrict the airflow. Overall, I personally think the difference between the two are minimal and I'd go for the less expensive one or the one with a cleaner looking install. The air filter will only help you so much by itself. It becomes more effective as there are more mods, ie cams, throttle body, exhaust, bore, headers, etc. The more mods you have the more effective the cold air intake. Hope that helps!

As far as performance gain is concerned, they're basically the same. However, I'd go with the AEM setup, better quality and durability.

Dont bother, that D15 is junk, and will be with all the intake in the world. If you want performance youll have to do a B-series swap. But if you REALLY want to put a cold air intake, fab one up outta sewer hose and PVC pipe. Seriously. Its cheap, easy, and wont heat sink.

KN is the way to go. However someone has to tell you the negatives, so here they are: KN (and similiar companies) adds to top end horsepower, actually takes some away from low end (thats why they only show you the high end of the dyno results) Any cold air intake that is mounted low to the ground will injest water if you drive through flooded roads.(thats part of the reason why the stock intake is high up) So if you want to risk water injestion if you will drive through a flood, and dont mind losing some low end power, go ahead. However, KN is a great product. and you will notice more high end power.

I don't want to sound like a jerk, but please don't ruin your Lexus. I hate to see a nice car go by with after market crap put on it (especially giant rims, huge spoilers, and loud exhaust pipes that sounds like a squirrel on the toilet).
