- i had this problem alot too, we eventually moved to a house with hardwood flloors in the living room (alot easier), but we invested in a steam cleaner for our carpets, running that every other month (for our family of 4) did the trick. or you can rent a Rug Dr. their great for cleaning carpets.

- I've never heard of any one putting carpet pad down before applying carpet tiles. I have seen them install regular carpet they always glue the pad down place the carpet on top of that. If you don't get a better answer to your question I would call Home Depot ask them. I did find the instructions below for installing carpet tiles but no mention of carpet pad. DIRECT STICK CARPET TILES The carpet tiles are adhered to the sub floor using Roberts 656 Carpet Tile Double Bond Underlay Adhesive. The sub floor should first be primed with Roberts 370 Floor Wall Primer prior to the application of the carpet tile adhesive. If the carpet tile is laid into a wet film of adhesive it forms an almost permanent bond between the carpet tile and sub floor. The carpet tiles may also be laid into the adhesive when it has dried to a clear tacky film allowing them to be more easily removed if repairs or replacement is required.

- Basic carpet can be installed with a pad for around 3$ a s/f .(+-) It can be higher or lower with the quality of the carpet and pad. This based on you getting a 15' wide carpet (thus no seams) for 225 s/f. Thats 675 $ for carpet pad and labor. This generally won t include rip out of whats there now, floor prep ( if needed) , furniture moving and disposal. Remember this can vary with quality of pad and carpet. - Q: i am looking into the future and looking at what i need to buy for a horse *so i can save up enough*right now i'm looking at rugs and saddles.. i have been looking on the horseland website (sells all horse stuff for outside aussies)and i have noticed that some saddles range from $300 - $800 *could never afford one over $1000* ... there doesnt seem to be much difference between them both...
- Your link just goes to the main menu page so I didn't get to see which saddle you were asking about. Basically a good saddle, if looked after will probably outlast you ! Rugs can be complicated, I don't know what sort of weather you get but here in the UK my horses are out for most of the time ( they only come in a night in the worst part of winter and they don't like that much either !) I have full neck rugs for really nasty cold time and ones without necks for when it's just normal winter weather. They don't wear any rug during the summer as a rule but if it rains for long periods ( as it has this year) I put the lighter neckless rugs on them. If it got sweaty during riding in winter then towelling dry is a good idea and you can also get a cooler rug - this acts like a string vest and stops the horse getting chilled while he's cooling down. As your horse would be going straight back into the field it would be best to cool him down on the way back from your ride so he doesn't get home so sweaty. You can't just go throwing thick rugs on sweaty horses so you would need to walk him round in a cooler to get him dried off first. If this turned out to be a problem with you spending ages cooling him down you could get him clipped which would stop him getting soaked but then you would need a really good rug to make up for the lack of winter coat.

- Depends what those fluffs are....... uld be natural fluff on the wool, could be broken fibers..............and that's not good. If broken fibers, could be moth damage or other insects living in the wool. Vacuum daily. Have the rug cleaned especially it has had food, animal products, or a lot of foot traffic across it.

- You can use the rugs as an accent to some jewel or brighter tones, like blue or green, or you can subdue them and use them with taupes or there are some really nice brown/reds out this year that you could use and it would be trendy, or you could use soft colours and blend them in. Or you could use plain white on the walls and make it very cool with greys and blacks and a tiny bit of pink accent along with whatever other colour you might like to tie it all together. Don't despair, you can make it work and look awesome!
- Q: We had some pee spots on our area rug while house breaking our dog. We rented a rug doctor steam cleaner and cleaned our rug but now I can smell dog pee just sitting on the couch. I can assure you we were very thorough in cleaning this rug; went over the area many times using over half a bottle of solution then ran just water several times to get up all remaining soap. I can understand that it seems we have loosened and spread around the pee, but if doing a through job with a steam cleaner doesn't work, what else can I do? Now I couldn't even spot treat since it is all over now. I would assume the pee is up but the odor remains. There is no carpet pad under this rug which I know can be the problem with carpet. This rug is only 6 months old, how can I save it?!
