Q: i need to find a website or store (in missouri) selling area rugs under $50 and about 13ft x 13ft in size.
To be very honest with you, the only rug of that size you will find for under $50 will have to be second hand and likely not in great condition. I have never in my life heard of finding that size rug at that type of price. Good luck. If you do find one, please let me know where -- I would order from that supplier even if they are overseas and shipping doubles the cost!
Q: If I lay down a lot of rugs in my apartment (I AM ON THE 3rd FLOOR SO I HAVE SOMEONE UNDER ME). No complaints as of yet but I want to turn it up a bit will laying out alot of rugs help or not? If you have a better idea please help!THANKS!
It may help to muffle the noise but will not soundproof the space. If you're looking to turn up the TV or stereo bear in mind that there is little you can do to prevent noise transfer without having a building that is constructed to address noise control. If your floors are concrete you are in luck because there is much less sound transfer with concrete that other type of floors. Wood substrates in converted or older buildings can create major noise issues for tenants. If you share walls with your neighbors putting in foam insulation pads (like those used to control cold air) at the electrical outlets and switches may help a tiny bit. Keeping stereo/TV speakers away from shared walls should also help. You may consider putting speakers on a stack of old towels to reduce sound transfer through the floor. Your best bet may be to talk to the resident(s) beneath you and ask that they call you if the noise is too much. Discussing it up front can create good will with your neighbors and help keep you aware of what is considered reasonable. See link below for more detailed info on sound control issues in apartments. Good luck.
Q: I think I might have carpet beetles in my bedroom. When ever I clean up I find little brown bugs that shed their skin in my carpet and on stuffed animals that were on the ground. Are these carpet beetles? How do I get rid of them? Please help!!!! They give me they give me the creeps!!! Thanks
Yes. I definitely think that those are carpet beetles. I had a similar situation in my room where I stored a lot of old clothes and old items, and I found small fuzzy insects. I found these tips online on a recommended website... - Ensuring that your clothes receive fresh air and occasional sunlight will help prevent carpet beetle infestations. - Keeping expensive clothes encased in plastic is a great way to avoid carpet beetles from destroying your clothes. - If you suspect carpet beetles in your closet, wash all clothes in soapy hot water. - Spreading boric acid powders on the carpet and furniture can also help get rid of carpet beetles. - Still seeing carpet beetles around your home? Call in a professional pest exterminator and have them gone today!
Q: Can a carpet store take carpet out of some one home and sell it to some one els and put it in there home? No this is not a joke!
In the US--Usually, the carpet they remove when they replace it with the new carpet is discarded. If the owner of the home didn't care to keep it, the carpet store could take it with them. They could resell it and install it somewhere else if they found a buyer. But if they are selling it as new, and it is not, they could be sued for fraud. Some states may have specific health and safety laws prohibiting them from reselling the carpet, but I don't know of any.
Q: My carpet is threadbare and needs replacing. The kids are almost grown and pets live outside. Should I get a timber floor or go with carpet again. Which is easier to keep clean? I know that carpet is dirty but it also hides a lot. If you have a timber floor and then get rugs, aren't you getting the vaccuum out anyway? What do you think?
Carpet is the worst. it hold germs and God knows what else. We recently replaced our carpet with pergo -- its like a wood but its fake and super easy to clean. It also looks really nice.
Q: I've recently noticed rugs popping up on my yards in the evenings, it goes down to around 4oC here at night right now, and all horses are in their own fields, not in a herd. I personally am not too sure on rugging yet. My mare is a 16.2, 10 year old Irish Sports Horse, and I simply refuse to clip her for my own reasons. She has been rugged for most of her life with her old owner, and obviously it's unfair of me to deny her rugging now, so no rug is not an option.I was just wondering how cold it has to get before you start rugging. I myself will rug in horrible rain, and at 1oC or below, but should I be doing it at higher temps? I don't want to ruin the growth of her winter coat, and she gets hay and a feed every night.
Horses are made with internal heating systems. When it gets cold, they grow hair. It's natural. No one puts rugs on the wild horses;) A lot of people say that if a horse has been rugged or blanketed they always will have to be, but that is not true. You just don't want to start off using a blanket and then just randomly stop in the dead of winter. If a horse is fed a well balanced diet it will grow a super thick winter coat. It feels nice and adds extra insulation if you ride bareback in the winter. Also, horses that are allowed to grow their own coat usually shed out nicer and more thoroughly. Just make sure when spring rolls around you brush enough to get all that thick fur off when it's ready. In the wild, horses would find a good spot to roll and they would groom each other. Plus, I personally like the look of horse with long, thick, fluffy coats. My horses never wear blankets or rugs. And they are already getting fluffy;)
Q: I'm looking for a soft shag rug that is orange and maybe 5' by 8'. any suggestions?
I okorder / Also try looking on your local buy and sell websites such as Craigslist of Kijiji. Also try phoning any vintage home decor stores in your area. Even if they don't have what you are looking for they may know where you can find one. Good Luck!
Q: A: is it good to lay full carpets in the bedroom?
the cost of carpet is not low, and maintenance is also troublesome. No matter how less things in bedroom, it still has blind angle, this will make the carpet breed bacteria easily.
Q: What is the name of a carpet that is pasted on the wall with latex
Sound insulation fire retardant fabric
Q: I'm really stressed I just spilled Mac and cheese all over the carpet how do I get it out
Maggie if you just spilt it Scrape as much up as you can And use a cloth wrung out in warm soapy water
