- Q: I'm looking for a living room rug approximately 8x10 or larger. Someone told me that I can perhaps be able to buy two pieces of carpet and have them made into a rug, it suppose to cost less than an already made rug and I can chose the colors I want. If you know any places where I can have this done or where I can purchase a rug for a low price, please let me know. I live in West Chicago, 60634. I can only afford to pay up to $150. Thanks!
- I just bought an 8x10 wool rug from Ikea for $90 in their as-is room. There were several I liked on the sales floor in that size for under $150. They have a pretty wide range of rugs and prices. You can also check places like Sams, Costco, Big Lots, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, and Ross.
- Q: Should rugs only be used on wood floors?
- Not tacky, but if you have elderly folks around, throw rugs are a definite tripping hazard.
- Q: I accidentally sprayed perfume on my prayer rug. I don't know if I can pray on that rug anymore.
- You may have found the formula for a flying rug.
- Q: I just purchased an 8x11 handmade wool rug online. I am not sure if I need a rug pad under it to keep it from slipping or whatever. I've seen a few rubber ones that cost around $80 and some thicker plush ones going for over $100. Is it really worth it?
- You will either need a rug pad or carpet tape to protect your new purchase from slipping and wrinkling. As to which you prefer, it depends on how plush the rug you purchased is. I have a very dense wool rug in my kitchen that is on ceramic tile and used two sided carpet tape to anchor it down. This enables me to have it vacuummed without fighting the edges with the suction and keeps it from wrinkling while doing so. It is thick enough on its own that a rug pad is unnecessary. That being said, I also have another rug under which I have a rug pad mainly to protect the flooring underneath it. It has a rough jute backing that with constant traffic will scratch the floor under it, hence the rug pad.
- Q: How to clean the carpet if there is no vacuum cleaner
- Drag with a slightly damp in the blanket, mainly is to absorpt above dust actually, the effect of taking the carpet to the outside and beating is the same with the vacuum cleaner, it shouldn't be too wet, if the carpet is not big.
- Q: Okay, I have to do chores and I completely forgot what is a rug! I am a dumb blond..
- Your are right Abigail! A rug is indeed a carpet. In some countries there is a difference, a carpet is considered to cover the full flooring of a room, whereas a rug is used to cover a portion of a floor, more of a decorative method. There terms are commonly used either way, so you can never feel dumb, regardless of your hair colour. :) Hope this helps! Have a great day!
- Q: How to do fireproofing treatment to carpet
- Spray flame retardant on the carpet, that's it.
- Q: So I'm looking for really soft, comfortable area rugs here in Toronto. But I don't want real animal fur. Fake Sheepskins, fake animal rugs. I'm just not sure where to look. Thanks in advance for your help.
- I am sure all Sam's clubs are the same they have a genuine sheepskin rug for around 40.00 here in NM
- Q: Recently there has been a debate in the library in my neighborhood as to whether to replace the carpet with tile. Which is better for a library. Please note that a lot of school kids use this library.
- Tile is cold and shoes make noise when people walk across the room. Not only that, tile does not absorb sound and the library will have all that floor surface for noise to bounce off of. There are commercial grade carpets that would be ideal for this application. I would not worry so much about stains because there should be a NO FOOD OR DRINK rule in the library that should be strictly followed. Besides carpeting is better on the legs and feet for the employees and all those children who sit on the floor for story time will certainly appreciate the carpet under their tushes.
- Q: Okay so If wanted to get rid of carpet stains from animal urine or say spilled drinks that are months old would baking soda work to get them out? My parents aren't too clean or careful and don't care much that the carpet is so messed up because they never have anyone over and are constantly worrying about other things. I hate it it bothers me out so I want to take initiative and clean it. Would it work? If so how much? And if not I'd really appreciate you telling me what would. I can't rent any machines since I don't work lol I'm 15.. Thanks.Have a nice day(:
- i do no longer the Soda did the cleansing,it merely did get rid of the scent, for that reason giving the colour to the mattress through fact of its powder like composition,in case you go with a cleansing tip on your Carpet,I advise which you pass to the positioning under.
