- Q: ok my parents are saying that they want to have wood floor in both of the living room also in the hall ways and they also want rugs in the bedroomwhat do u think
- Sounds like a good idea. I have wood flooring in my lounge and a large coffee table in the middle which is the same colour. Between them I have a big square rug which looks great :-) I'd say get the wood flooring first and then look at rugs you might want to get after that way if they don't look good together you can still return them to the store for a refund, hope this helps :-)
- Q: How do I rug hook I have always wanted to know??!!! What do I need to get started Links PLZ
- Latch okorder for some pictorial advice, and to possibly find supplies and a teacher.
- Q: I am planning on getting a Carpet Python in a couple of months and wanted to know a few things about them as I am still learning about them and I like to really know about a snake before purchasing.1. Do Carpets like climbing when adults?2. Do carpets like to be held after their nippy stage?(After Maturing a bit)3. If I started him off in a big tank would it be ok? or would i have to use a smaller tank then progress?Any other cool things you guys know about Carpets I would love to hear about also! Thanks in advance! :)
- Carpet Pythons are semi arboreal, so they will appreciate some things to climb on when they are young and old. But as they get older they will need some pretty sturdy branches. Depending on what locality you get, it may get anywhere from 6'-12'. Carpet Pythons actually mellow out a lot when they mature a bit. They are fine with being handled, and it'll make it easier on you. You could start off in a big tank, but you have to make sure that the snake feels secure. Lots of hides, branches, etc. Plus you need to make sure there's enough heat for the whole cage. I would start off in a smaller tank if you can, but you don't have to. And one other tip about Carpet Pythons, unlike most snakes, which are usually fed prey the size of the fattest part of the snakes body, they actually can eat prey that are bigger than that, and prefer it.
- Q: Im moving next week and im expecting my second baby. Im on a budget but I would still like a nice area rug for the living room. Around 60 to 80 dollars?
- Check okorder Good luck with the baby and the move and I hope you find what you need.
- Q: I had a puppy, that urinated on my carpet, I would clean the spots, and of course discipline the dog.... BUT it made my home smell like urine.... so I had some carpet cleaning people come out and clean my carpets now that the puppy is fully house trained and now my house smells like wet dog, urine, and this sour, mildew wet smell. UGH! Is this normal, are they the chemicals kicking in? Will this smell ever go away? I opened my house up, to help and it still stinks.... ANY help, suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!!!
- Try another carpet steam-cleaning company. Try to find one that has special experience with pet odors. 4) Pull up your carpets and check the pads. Replace what is needed.
- Q: How can I remove the black glue on the carpet?
- If the glass glue can be used acetic acid (vinegar, vinegar)If it is epoxy resin (two kinds of glue used in harmony), it is afraid of heat, but also afraid of strong alkali, hot alkaline water is best, but carpet will damageIf it is 502, you can use transformer oil, chloroform.
- Q: My carpet is only 4 1/2 years old and in good shape with no big stains. My only complaint is that it's too light. Someone suggested having my carpet dyed a darker color, but I've never heard of anyone doing that before. Has anyone had this done before or know anyone who has? If so, what are the pro's and con's? Thanks :)
- once okorder as they have been in the carpet dyeing and cleaning business for years. Also check the yellow pages and ask for references on their dyeing jobs.
- Q: Hair Dye was spilled on the carpet a couple of months ago we tried a couple of things ,even the carpet cleaners could not get it out, any suggestions ?
- If the carpet cleaners couldn't get it out, you may be out of luck. One thing you can try is shampoo. Try just a tiny, tiny little bit on a washcloth, and try to get down into the fibers. Work on a small stain first to see if this method is successful. The shampoo will lather up, so you'll need to remove the suds afterwards. If you have one of those hand-held spot cleaners for carpets, try that. These handy little machines can either scrub a spot, or suck the water and cleaning product from the carpet. I spilled some liquid make-up on my light colored carpet, and I tried everything I knew to do - to no avail. Out of desperation, I tried shampoo, and it worked. Another idea is to call a company that makes hair color, like Clairol or Revlon, Garnier, one of those. They usually have a customer help service, and they may know something we don't. I'm sure there's a 1 800 number on the box, or you could Google Clairol Customer Service, maybe. Good luck.
- Q: im debating on putting carpet or tile into my bearded dragons tank instead of brown paper bags. is it hard cleaning poop off the carpet? because with tile you can just wipe it up. what one would be better?
- Don't let my wife know I told you this. For many years I used Commercial carpet in my snake cages. I had several pieces cut to fit. WHen one got soiled I would just remove it and put in another one. When I got a stack of dirty ones I would wait until she wasn't home and throw them in the washer/dryer. They clean up like new and last for years. Been married 37 years and she has no clue!
- Q: Isn't it better to place a CPU on a desk or at least elevate it so that it doesn't touch a carpet or floor? (Even if the carpet is not shag?) I am trying to prove this to my boss but he insists that the computers remain on the rug. Keep in the mind that the computers have 3 intake fans, and a few outtake fans. They are placed in a church/office setting where kids could incidentally kick the computer or something. I also know that when computers are closer to the floor, they take in more dust. Am I not correct, or at least partially correct?
- Yes. Laptops certainly. This is because carpets have a very uneven surface, and they are spongy. What happens is the carpet will rest against the air intakes (which are on the bottom) and restrict air flow in. It also picks up a large amount of dust since carpet has a large surface area to trap such particles. If on a hard desk, the feet provide some elevation for air to move freely underneath so the fan can suck it up for cooling. This is desirable, however, computers will work pretty much anywhere.
