It's cheaper than the name brands (which are close to $20 now) and better. To get the deep stains, the trick is to pre-soak them with a mixture of the carpet cleaner and Oxi-Clean (assuming your carpet is not wool, in which case you cannot use Oxi-Clean). Let the cleaning solution sit there for a while, then go over it with the carpet cleaner. Finally, for those stained and extra dirty areas, there's value in finishing the process by placing old towels and the carpet and standing on them to soak up any remaining moisture (dirty water).
