- Q: I'm new at pressing my mac pigments. I recently bought a bunch of mac pigment samples. I have two of each color with eaxactly 1/4 tsp in each. I read that your supposed to press with 3/4. Is it okay to press with less than 3/4?
- Hi! Yes, definitely. You don't have to have exactly 3/4 tsps for it to work. 3/4 tsp might be the measurement needed to fill an eyeshadow pan, if that's where you're pressing your pigments. But then again, it's up to you if you want to fill the pan or not. You don't actually have to be very scientific about pressing pigments. Basically, keep dropping a few drops of 91% alcohol, mix it, and once it gets to the point that it's the the mixture holds/clumps together (you don't want it to be runny, and you'd know if it's still dry). If you put too much alcohol, you shouldn't worry b/c it dries up anyway. It just makes it hard to shape and press it. That's why the key is to put a few drops of alcohol at a time. There's really no exacty # of drops to # of teaspoons of pigments. I've pressed a LOT of pigments myself, and I don't even measure how much I use. Just be sure that after pressing it (press it firmly!), leave it open to air dry :)

- Flies and presses work the same muscle group at a different angle. If you are lying down, you just need to make sure that you are straight, tummy pulled in, and the arm movements are strong and controlled. arms slightly bent throughout the whole movement (don't lock elbows).

- Here are some ideas. 1. Try pressing both the left and right CTRL keys at the same time and see if that releases CTRL. 2. Go to Start / Settings / Control Panel / Accessibility Options / Keyboard Options. Turn off CTRL lock if it's on. If that solves it and to avoid future problems, press Settings Turn off Press modifier key twice to lock. Turn on Turn sticky keys off if 2 keys are pressed at once. Or turn off Use shortcut

- I am a former 4/color stripper, cameraman, platemaker. This is how it was done before computers. I have some knowledge of computerized stripping. I have been in the business for over 30 years. An offset press is an offset press. They all operate pretty much the same way. With water and ink. Flexo printing is done for labels that are put on bottles. Believe it or not the image is distorted in prep. This is because the label wraps around a cylindrical or somewhat cylindrical container. Believe it or not the distorted image comes out looking right because of the shape of the container. An assistant pressman's responsibilities will vary from shop to shop but you pretty much are helping fill ink fountains, putting up paper, hanging plates, setting color, and you get to wash up the press among other things. It has been awhile but I do miss it. If you are good you can write your own ticket to a certain extent. I am older now and it was kinda fun thinking about this. I hope at least some of this helps. - Q: The title says it all but to be more descriptive, I like a auto key presser software,* something like when F5 is pressed, keys number 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 ,5 will be pressed by sequence with an interval of something like 2 seconds.* example:F5 is pressed.1 will be pressed then after 2 seconds2 will be pressed.then so on. - Do the actual keys need to be pressed or do you just need the result of the key having been pressed? It sounds like you want to learn macro programming. That's where you can record a set of keystrokes and have it activate by pressing a certain combination of keys. Usually you have to press two keys simultaneously and then a letter and that activates it. Do a web search. Type in the name of the program you're using and follow it with macro tutorial Good luck.
