Q:I have a really big budget to buy a great office chair. I need something I can sit in for long periods of time without pain but also looks modern to fit with my office. I have been looking at the Steelcase leap and think, Humanscale Liberty, Knoll life, and Eurotech Ergohuman. Any ideas?
it all comes down to personal preference. Ideally if possible, see if you can find a dealer nearby where you can try out the chairs as that will give you a far better idea of what they are like. I know Steelcase used to run a 30 day trial on the Leap, but I don't know if they still do. A reputable dealer should be happy to loan you a chair for a few days to make sure It's right for you.
Q:Does anyone remember the small soft chairs that would fold flat into a bed? They had no frame, just padding and cloth. Sat about 1ft to 1.5 ft high when a chair and about 6-8 inches high when folded out to a bed. I cannot find then anywhere, please help. thanks.
www.okorder /. for more just type fold out chair in google and search
Q:I teach a very disruptive class of 1st-3rd graders at Church on Wednesday night and I would like to have a time out chair called a prayer chair I want to paint it and put the little poem on it. I came up with a few lines but nothing solid. Any ideas? Thanks!
Here, I wrote you one. Angel Chair An Unhappy Angel once sat in this chair Cared more about fighting than he did about prayer But the seat was so hard, and it faced to the wall All he thought of was his friends and playtime’s call He loved that much more than he wanting to fight Now the Angel was happy and all was alright. Hope that inspires something better (and shorter, to fit on a chair.)
Q:say something about chairs please., thanks
Ode to a Chair Oh chair, sitting there in the corner. Why do you just sit there? I appreciate you being there when I have my breakfast and my dinner. You're a good seat. Thank you, chair.
Q:I want a bean bag chair but not a small one i want a pretty big one. If you can help me out with a link to one ill give you 5 stars 4 the best answer.
walmarts website has a good selection
Q:I am re-doing my dining room chairs and would like to know if 5lb. density 2.5 in. memory foam would be a good choice or should I just go with medium firm 2.5 in. regular foam. I am going to wrap the foam in batting before I put the fabric on the chairs. Also would 2.5 inches be thick enouph or should I do 3 inches? Please give details as to which foam would be better and why.
I would stay away from memory foam for dining chairs. Folks move around, get up, sit down too often for there to be any benefit to having memory foam on a chair, and I can see where it would be a major PITA (literally!) to not be able to turn in my chair comfortably or to have to REsit myself in the molded-to-my-bottom cushion after getting up to get more rolls, or whatever. I'd use regular medium density foam and I wouldn't use more than a 2 slab of it... especially if you're going to wrap the foam w/ batting before applying fabric. If the cushion is too high/bulky you risk folks having to dangle their legs off the edge of the chair (think of Lily Tomlin's Edith Ann sitting in the big chair), or having an uncomfortable pressure point at the back of their thighs that could cause legs to go numb. Q:This is something that is really annoying, there is no way that those steps are steel, NO WAY. the chairs are not steel either. Also some of u mite not remember this but when the rock had a funeral for SCSA and he came back and shane came up and hit him in the back of the head with a steel shovel and it shattered, there is No way in hell that the shovel was steel, u could hit a steel shovel against bricks and it wouldnt shatter like that!
I'll be the first to admit that the shovel was fake as all hell, most likely a clay material, like the type used in movies for plates and dishes. However, the steel chairs stairs are truly steel When you think of steel usually the most common thought is a heavy metal used for construction. The big steel beams, so to speak. The folding chairs used in the WWE are a type of sturdy but thin steel that isn't made as heavy as the typical steel used in construction, but it's steel nonetheless. Think about plastic. There is a very heavy durable plastic used in something like those cheap plastic chairs they have at a dentists office - but then there's the plastic wrap you use to cover you leftovers. It's all plastic though, right? It's just constructed differently with different levels of composites. I'll admit, I think that the announcers really embelish when it comes to the actual weight of those stairs. I heard Michael Cole say (when the Undertaker used them once) that those stairs weighed 250lbs. I was like, Okay chief, you're overselling it real bad right now. Sometimes, like the ones you can find at Wal-Mart, there are aluminum chairs, but those are painfully obvious. You can spot them when a wrestler takes an extremely ginger tap on the head and the chair ends up with a huge dent in it or when a wrestler tries to stand on it and it buckles bends under his weight.
Q:what is lift chair?
A lift chair looks like your average living room recliner. The major difference is the lift chair has motors. These motors recline and lift the chair electronically. The lift chair has a remote attached and with the touch of a button you can recline back or lift yourself to a standing position. The main reason why a person would need a lift chair is if they struggle to stand up from a sitting position. The lift chair raises them up to an almost standing position which lets the user stand without pain or over exerting themselves. Lift chairs were invented in 1982. Hope this help! Lift chairs are actually an amazing invention. My grandfather uses one because he broke his arm and cannot lift himself off the couch. Having a lift chair lets him get up on his own to use the bathroom. He would be so upset if he couldn't be independent and the lift chair gives him that indepence.
Q:Radius 3m, length of chain and chair 2.5m.Mass of rider and chair 100kg. (8 chairs riders)a)Determine rotational speed when chair is at 30 degrees to the verticalb)How many g's does a rider feel?I have the final answers, but don't know how to get to them.Using trig I get a total radius of 4.25m then I get stuck! Please help! Thanks
I assume the top of the chain is anchored to a point which is at radius 3m Let the force in the chain when in the 30? position be F then vertically downward force on rider chair = Fv = 981 N = F s30? so that F = 981/0.866 = 1133 N The horizontal component of force on the rider = Fh = F.sin30? = 566.4 N Radius or rider at the 30? position = 3 + 2.5sin30? = 4.25 m Fh is the force produced by rotation and = m.ω?.r giving ω = √[F/(m.r)] = 1.1544 where ω is the rotational angular frequency. So rotational frequency = ω/(2.π) = 0.18373 revs/sec = 11.024 r.p.m.. The rider experiences total force F = 1133N. If he were standing still he would experience 981 N, so g force is 1133/981 = 1.155g. This is the total force on the rider, including his own weight. The extra force he experiences due to rotation is 566.4/981 = 0.577 g – the answer you are given.
Q:Looking for something really light weight with a backrest and legs that can support itself. I've seen the GCI PICO Chair (10 lbs.) and Quick-E-Seat (4.5 lbs.) which are both nice, but I'd like to get the weight down a bit more if I can.
The answer is the old aluminum chairs with the plastic webbing. There is a company making them, calling them retro, and charging $29.95. Better to find them in a garage sale. The ones with the continuous tube legs won't sink in on soft ground, any chair with the post style legs tend to sit unevenly unless on very firm and level ground. They have arms and you can lean back and put your feet up on a rock/log. Problem is they weigh just over 3 lbs. I only carry them on shorter trips (less than 20 miles) or when I expect everything to be wet. On the longer trips I carry a stadium type chair made by Hexalite, cost around $35. It's a big improvement over the inexpensive ones you commonly find. With it I can sit on a rock as small as the seat cushion itself and when properly adjusted it will give me firm back support, much better than any I've tried before.
