Q: I have received a swivel chair, but it is too low to be used at my desk... I don't want to put a cushion on it because it is a massaging and heating one lol..
It would help to see the chair. I dont believe that part controls the height of the chair. Typically it is a gas cylinder with either a leaver under the seat or piece of the seat. There are chairs that you spin to adjust height but considering your chair is massaging and heating, i would assume it is raised and lowered with the gas cylinder. If the gas cylinder is not working it may not be making a good connection. (when you pull the lever it pushes a button on the top of the gas cylinder which causes it to raise/lower) If you put the chair together yourself I would make sure that the gas cylinder is pushed all the way into the under chair bracket. Otherwise contact the manufacturer and they should send you the replacement part.
Q: I need some advice! For my wedding we will be borrowing tables and metal folding chairs. I already have the tables planned out with white tablecloths and a fuschia tulle runner down the center. My problem is the chairs are really ugly and I need a very cheap idea on how to cover those. We are on a really tight budget ($3,000 for everything)as we are paying for everything ourselves. I was thinking of buying some tulle for the chairs and ribbon, but I wanted to know if anyone would have any idea what that would cost per chair? My colors are fuschia, yellow and orange. Thanks!
Check for sales on sheets. One sheet set will cover four chairs. Another thing you can do is just make fabric covers for the chairs that are lining aisle or outside edges. The tops of the interior chairs would just need something for the backs which will save you a ton of fabric. They don't show up in before ceremony pics and will be covered by your guests' bodies during. You could dye or paint canvas or just cotton fabric. Mixing patterns of clearance material will look fine as long as they are in the same colors and will help add to the casual feel. Watch the paper and check online. Joann's and Hobby Lobby usually have a 40% coupon every few weeks that you can use on any item in the store, even on sale. This will save you a ton. If you are on their mailing lists they will send you some as well. I wouldn't use tulle unless you really need to. The chairs are going to show through it.
Q: I was wondering how to make a simple slip cover for a regular metal folding chair.
For the back of the chair, try a pillowcase on it and see how it fits. What tucks do you have to make? Then try it on the seat. What type cover did you want? A full cover so you don't see the legs? You did not say. I would cut up a sheet, in fact you could use sheets if you do not want to invest in upholstery type fabric. They are washable too. Try a piece on the seat, let it hang to the floor in front, and extend up over the back of the chair until it reaches the floor below. Then you could sew the two backs together till it comes to the seat, stop there. Then you need to sew a piece to each side down to the floor. Then sew up the corners. Hem the bottoms and put a bow or Velcro fastener to the back of the seat corner, or pin it and then sew it, but you have to leave a little room so you can slip it on and off.
Q: When my mom was a toddler, she had a rocking chair. When I was a toddler, it was my chair. My little sister never used it because she never stayed over at our grandma's house, where it was kept. When I was a little older, it was my dolls' chair. Now my sister has a son, and my mom wants to give her the chair for him. I dont begrudge my nephew anything, but his mom never learned to take care of things--she breaks everything she touches. Plus I had wanted to give it to my own kids someday. So what do you think? Whose chair is it?
If I was in your shoes, I imagine I'd say to my Mom: IF (your other daughter) had a history of showing appreciation for heirlooms things, I would consider giving them the chair. However, everything she's ever had has been ruined by neglect or misuse. Let's get (her grandson) his own rocking chair . . . and consider insisting on paying for it yourself, or at least contributing towards it. I think that would be the best route to take. Hopefully your mom doesn't get her feathers wrinkled too easily. You are the one with the sentimental attachment to it, so --I feel-- probably ought to be allowed to keep it. Plus . . . If your grandmother gave it to you --or, if your mother once gave it to you-- it is still yours. Parents often give their kids things with 'strings attached' --in their hearts-- that the children don't learn about until later . . . and feel that as long as they are alive it is their 'call' who gets possession of said gifts at any given time. Hopefully your mom is more understanding than that! Talk to your mom about your feelings . . . all of them . . . but do so with gentle tact --even if it is already technically otherwise yours-- so she will know the reasons behind your desire to keep it. That may help her to accept it. Especially if you are gung ho to get the boy his *own* rocking chair.

Q: I have 3 suede computer chairs that cannot be used due to the embarrassing stains. What are some products that would eradicate this mess? Thanks!
vinegar and water ,and a rag.
Q: A friend of mine is trying to start selling barbers chairs online he has never done anything online and I am struggling to get him enthusastic.Anybody got any tips on online advertising.his site is www.cleverpricetrading .uk
website positioning is a multi million-dollar business. search engines generate billions of dollars annually through advertising. internet sites earn billions of us dollars for their owners per year via using yahoo and google either through paid promotions or organic (free) listings in search outcomes.
Q: Hi, I'm having twin girls, my 1st pregnancy, due in May. What is better and safer for babies, high chairs or booster seats? My baby shower is coming up soon and some people have asked about buying booster seats, but we have no idea - we thought high chairs were better for babies. Anyone know? Thank you!
Highchairs for sure. However, my mother in law bought a booster seat thingy but its actually a high chair that attaches to a dining room chair. A space saver or something (I'm sure you all know exactly what I'm talking about). It has a back and everything that reclines until my son is old enough to sit up better. It's nice.
Q: What do you actually say when you're chair in a meeting?
Call meeting to order, ask secretary to read the minutes, ask for treasurer's report, bring up items under old business and then under new business and then ask someone to make a motion to adjourn
Q: My dad had a chair with this build, but without the cushy padding, and the arm-rests, it was simpler. Anyway, his broke and I wanted to see if i could dig up an old one like the one he had.
