- Q: This is something that is really annoying, there is no way that those steps are steel, NO WAY. the chairs are not steel either. Also some of u mite not remember this but when the rock had a funeral for SCSA and he came back and shane came up and hit him in the back of the head with a steel shovel and it shattered, there is No way in hell that the shovel was steel, u could hit a steel shovel against bricks and it wouldnt shatter like that!

- Q: My wedding is this saturday, we are having the reception at the american legion and their chairs are all different colors and very ugly. We were planning on renting chair covers till today my mom said we cant afford it anymore. Any ideas on what I could do to make these chairs look better?
- Honey, unfortunately, renting chair covers WAS your cheapest option, depending on what you were looking at. Going out and buying material, no matter WHAT material, is going to be expensive and incredibly time consuming. I don't know what kind of time you have, but considering your wedding is in 5 days, I would either look at their lowest price chair cover or talk to the banquet hall about their options. Another option that I saw at a bridal show that I went to recently was tying a band of tulle around the back of a chair and securing it with a single silk flower (hot glued with a some kind of pin to secure everything) and letting the rest of the tulle hang down kind of like a bow, but without the actual bow. Upon closer examination I could see that it could be replicated rather inexpensively and you could certainly arrange the tulle to cover more of the chair and it would detract from the tackiness of the chair. I just don't think you will be able to do a full on chair cover in this short amount of time. Good luck honey!

It was a chair that was curved to where your feet would be up but lower than your stomach and it would be to where your but sinks low and then your head goes up but its like reclining. The ends of the legs are round +- 18mm (3/4 inches). I have tried felt pads - no good - they wear away in days. I have tried hard plastic caps - a little better - but still difficult to move.What can I do to allow the chairs to slide easily.
- might try a tennis ball on each chair leg, cut an X on the top of the ball and insert the chair leg. works well on walkers for older people.
- Q: Did you have them? Was it worth the cost to rent them? I have found some places to rent them locally and they are around $2 per chair ... we are having around 150 guests and our budget is about $8000. - Hi. Can you go to the reception site to see an actual wedding set up prior to your wedding? If you can, I would suggest doing that. And even if you can't see it all set up, possibly you can go in and look over the chairs. Are they in good condition? Or are they all beat up? If they are OK, then I would not spend the extra money. Think about it....YES, as you walk into the EMPTY room, it all looks pretty. But once all your guests are seated....well, it really doesn't matter! If the chairs are in good condition, I would save your money for something else.

- Q: I purchased a upholstered, swivel, rocker from Goodwill. The problem is, it sits too low. I avoid sitting in it because it's a real chore to get out of it! I've tried spinning the four legged base like an office chair. I can't think of anything to prop it up with that will look nice and keep it functional. - Try buying a chair cushion. The cushion would make the chair more comfortable. Also it might increase the height of the chair based on the thickness of the cushion. Chair cushions don't cost much if you don't get the really fancy ones. But don't buy one if the chair is really small, because it won't help much. If the chair is too small to heighten with a chair cushion, take the chair to a wood shop or to a place like that. Tell them the details of the chair's base and and legs. Then if should be fixed.

- Hi pc, I would suggest if you have any local Upholstery Schools ( colleges Night Classes etc ) in your area you may want to call them and inquire of any available help with your chair cushion. Many times the students in class are willing to replace and repair as part of the upholstery classes. Which because they are students, this repair may cost you a lot less. Good Luck!
