Q: Hi yahoo answers how water is needed for carpet cleaning...I need the clear concept...
When cleaning your carpets, we use purified water ( de-ionized water) to leave the carpets residue free.. We also use a citrus-based green cleaning agent that is safe for your children, pets, and the environment. Drying times take about one to three hours...It is the easy method to remove the dirt with the help of water and for more information we can get it from the site...
Q: Searches bring up books ABOUT rugs! I need a rug with the pattern of books, on an area rug, contemporary, or traditional, just has to have books on it for a themed room. Thanks!
whilst you're going for affordable your purely real selection is to look at polypropylene rugs that are indoor/backyard. they are barefoot delicate yet unlike a pile rug plus they are easily hosed all the way down to bathe. the two Grandinroad and Frontgate supply those rugs on line. even with the undeniable fact that I even have seen a number of those presented at homestead Depot or Lowes, they don't have the softness. i exploit those rugs the two indoors in intense site visitors aspects and exterior on the deck besides. you are able to decide from classic to cutting-edge varieties. yet you will no longer get them organized without transport expenses. it incredibly is the internet in spite of everything.
Q: I spilled red acrylic paint on my cream carpet, and on trying to clean it up have only made it spread. ( Yeh, it was silly D: ) Now my carpet has a huge great pink stain in it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of it please?
Use FOLEX carpet cleaner. It's a heavy duty carpet cleaner. Then after that, go over it with a regular carpet cleaner (like the actual machine) then, if it doesn't come out after that call a professional carpet cleaning company like Stanley Steamer.
Q: I have 13 grandchidren and want to put in a carpet that is stain resistant and wearable
Guitar has some very good points on the stain resistance in a carpet but I have to choose a pure nylon carpet for durability. These fibers are treated now with a heat set in texture retention that when properly cleaned the fibers will come back to life and stand back up. These fibers you are walking on the tops of , and this is what you want. Berber , since your walking on the yarn side, has a tendency to matt and crush. Most berbers are also made of an Olefin/ nylon mix. While Olefin is a good stain block by nature, it is a softer yarn. So it boils down to a good stain blocker set into the fiber as its made ( not topically applied ) nylon and a good anti matt/ anti crush warranty. Nothing less than 10 years. Not all stuff will come out of a carpet . The trick is to properly treat spills right away and in a way the manufacturer suggests. Plus the daily vacuuming and at a minimum of once a year a professional , certified carpet cleaner. Mohawk and shaw make some good products. I lean toward Mohawk because I sold it for almost 20 years. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q: Someone spilt some blue WKD on my cream carpet and I've tried carpet stain remover, white wine and an industrial carpet cleaning machine. Are there any other ways which will remove the stain?
I don't know what wkd is, but here is a way to remove most stains that can be removed. A cup of warm water with 2 drops of a liquid laundry soap, mix well. Using your fingers dampen the carpet fibers. Try not to get the back of the carpet wet. After the carpet is wet , make a big pile of white paper towels on top of the wet spot. Now put a weight on top that will not rust or bleed from the water. Maybe a cookie sheet with a brick on top. Leave it covered for 12 to 24 hours. Remove . Look at the paper towel if the stain has transferred to the paper you are on the right track. Just keep doing it until its gone. There is a chance that the wkd has removed the color from the carpet and you can not fix it. Also you may have set the stain with the wine. For your information carpet cleaners have equipment and stain removers that home owners can not buy. Calling a carpet cleaner is a lot less money than replacing the carpet. One last word , your home owners insurance company may cover the cost of replacement.
Q: how do i get rid of a carpet burn please help
Here's an idea for a cigarette burn... Using exacto knife slowly remove burned carpet fibres from burned area, be careful not to scrape the carpet bare - you want to only remove the burned top layer. Then using sewing glue, perferably transparent, slowly fluff and stick non-burned carpet fibres from hidden parts of the cars carpet (e.g. under car seats, trunck) in the newly cleaned area. This process can be very time consuming because the goal is to make the carpet look like nothing was ever done to it - so take your time
Q: I just moved into a 1st floor/basement apartment. Its currently has tile floors wich are nice but are extremely cold to walk on in the winter. I was thinking about putting carpet down until I stumbled across carpet tiles in home depot. Since im renting I dont want to damage the current ceramic tile floor, should I lay down regular carpet or use carpet tiles? I don't care about grout lines and i dont want anything glued to the floor. It doesnt need to be the best job I will more then likely do it myself. If I lay regular carpet do I need padding? Or if I use carpet tiles, what kind of barrier should I have between the current floor and the carpet to proctect the ceramic tiles?
Before you buy anything.....ask your manager/landlord FIRST. If they are ceramic floors - then YOU can NOT glue anything to them. You will probably only be able to buy area rugs.
Q: We just bought a house and the master bedroom has wool carpet in it and I just wanted to know how to clean it!!
Wool carpet looks and feels awesome, but is tougher to maintain. I would not use a general carpet shampoo on it since they tend to be rough on non-synthetic fibers over time. For spot treating (spills, etc): Use a white cloth dampened with barely warm water and a few drops of clear dish washing liquid. White cloth and clear liquid just to make sure there's no color/chemical transfer. Blot it the way you'd get at any spill and then a dry cloth to get all that water up. For a deep clean: You'll be better off getting a professional in once a year or whenever the mess is too big to clean yourself.
Q: Alright.. so i need to kill fleas that MAY be in my carpet. I havn't seen any hop on me but my kitten has got fleas. I have a 12 month old son also.. that crawls on the carpet and puts anything in sight in his mouth, including his hands that obviously touch the carpet. I am sure SOMEONE has had this conundrum at some point... I am hoping some one can help me with this. What i have done so far, i've washed my precious with baby shampoo and combed the rest out... and so far i haven't seen her itch or any live fleas (she's white so they are evident) but i am sure they have gotten in my carpet in my living room. anything NATURAL or CHEMICAL that is toxic for my cat or baby is out of the question.. thanks for reading. i hope you can help!! :)
Rigorous vacuuming will be the best approach. Things that may be non-toxic to your baby are not going to be good for your kitten. For instance, boric acid is considered a non-toxic approach, but if it gets on your kitten's paws, and your kitten washes its paws (which it will do), it is toxic. But you can get some boric acid or diatomaceous earth, and suck some up the vacuum after you clean. That will work on any fleas in the bag that may have survived the trip through the vacuum.
Q: Whether is the wood floor good or the carpet good in the bedroom?
Wood floor is better.
