Q: Ok one of my cats (layah a one year old Manx) got diarrhea and it got all over one of my kitchen dining chairs. There was also a nice mushy nugget on another chair. What would you do?: I think if you are so scared of being politically incorrect that you can't even bring yourself to say heavy or fat, then you are unlikely to have the courage to follow through on pursuing the issue with his department manager. The moment someone kicks back at you on it and plays the discrimination card, you'll cave. Best to just take the issue to your boss and say you need a new chair because someone broke it. If your boss asks you how it happened, just tell him the chair broke when Mr. X sat down. He can draw his own conclusions and decide how to handle it. Edit: No, I am not kidding. If you are too sensitive - too nice - to say heavy here, you are also too sensitive and nice to pursue the issue of blaming a person of size (lol) for breaking your chair, because it involves going to his boss and saying, however nicely, that he broke your chair by being fat. You're obviously not willing to take that stand THERE, because you can't even bring yourself to fully take it HERE. So, let your boss handle it.

Q: I found a very cool shaped very old chair at a junk shop for $5. It is in fairly good shape and sturdy (none of the arms or legs wiggle). But it is missing the seat, which I would imagine was one time a woven cane seat that has fell out. I would prefer not to re-cane a new seat (I have done this before, but I don't find it comfortable to sit on this type of seat and they don't wear well). I would much rather put in a padded upholstered seat, but am not sure how? There is just a large hole in the middle where the seat used to be, and I'm having trouble thinking of ways to attach a piece of wood with padding and upholstery. It doesn't have to be super sturdy, as it won't have more than a 170lb person in it, and will more than likely not be used daily (it will be for our bedroom). Q: The chair has a handle on the right side that allows the chair to go to full height when not occupied. After it is occupied an hour or so, the chair sunks to the lowest level. I do not see any liquid leaking. Is there some adjustment I can make or seal to replace? If so--how do I do it?: The seal is leaking and is slowly letting the hydraulic fluid seep back to the reservoir. If you're mechanically inclined you can disassemble it and replace the seal. If not, it's probably cheaper to get a new chair.

Q: i have an old rocking chair in my basement in good condition. I know it's old but not sure how old. it's made out of wood but i'm not sure what kind, it is a darker wood. Q: I have a rocking chair and one of the (spreaders maybe) dowels that runs across the two rockers under the seat came out. It's not broken but I can't figure out how it came out or how to put it back in unless I take the whole thing apart. (Don't really want to do that) Thank you!: Put a little wood glue on it and have someone help you pull the rockers apart just enough to get it back in place. Let dry 24 ours before using.

Q: I have a bouncy chair for each of my twin babies, but it is very basic. There is no toy bar attached. Me and my mum have searched for a attachable toy bar to go on/over their bouncy chairs to entertain them but cannot seem to find one. Anyone got any ideas as to where i would be able to find such a thing?
