- Q: I have a office chair but everytime I try to use water on it it just leave a big stain what should I do ?
- Try cleaning the chair again I would use carpet cleaner. Put a fan on the chair to see if it dries. I think maybe the water stain has not dried completely. If that does not work have it clean professionally they may have something they can get the stain out of the fabric.
- Q: My wedding is this saturday, we are having the reception at the american legion and their chairs are all different colors and very ugly. We were planning on renting chair covers till today my mom said we cant afford it anymore. Any ideas on what I could do to make these chairs look better?
- Dear, it's a little late to be thinking of this now. Frankly, there isn't much you can do at this late date, and if your mom cannot afford any more, as you say, then just get married, have the reception, and move on. Really, no one will be paying much attention to the chairs and years from now what they looked like will NOT even be remembered. TO the person who suggested you run out to a fabric store and buy tulle and ribbons (stating this was INexpensive), she must be from outer space because it would cost you a FORTUNE! Just go with the chairs as they are and relax.
- Q: I have a padded computer chair which the seat part has now been flattened (due to much use) and is no longer comfortable. Doe anybody know any way to fix this at home? or can recommend any places where i could get it repaired? The chair was about $200 so anything more expensive to repair it would be a waste. Thanks :)
- You may be able to reupholster it yourself depending on the chair and whether you can take it apart. The seat was put together in pieces so there should be some way to take it apart. Unless you are handy this might be a challenge and depending on how your chair is constructed this could end up being a problem. Reupholstering might be half your purchase price but I'd check with a local upholsterer. There are seat cushions that you can purchasing in stores like Target, if you go to the section where they have tablecloths/napkins/linens. They are premade and designed to work on wood chairs and are about 1-2 thick. You could also go to the outdoor furniture section and look for seat cushions - those would be a lot thicker, designed for outdoor furniture. A less refined option would be getting some foam from a fabric store and cut it to size to fit the chair, then cover it with fabric.

- Q: I am currently a freshman in high school. I am third chair clarinet in band overall. This is pretty good, and I am expected to do well. The only thing is, I'm not expected to get first chair until my senior year because the 2nd chair is a sophomore (the first chair is moving soon so he's not an issue) and she's expected to get first chair each year. While I do realize being third chair as a freshman is quite good, I don't want to wait until I'm a senior to make first chair. I know that next year there will be a freshman who is quite good (she's in eighth grade and already knows her scales 3 octaves) and may pose as competition. However I don't want to have to think that she is competition. I want to be able to know each time that I will be first chair. I want the sophomore above me to not always expect to be first chair. So my question is, what can I do to ensure that I am first chair? For our auditions we have sight-reading and scales with tone being taken into account considerably.

- Well, I don't know if this will help you any but I work in an office and spend a lot of time sitting down. It would be nice to have a chair that has adjustable lumbar support, the kind made out of the microfoam like the new mattresses that have been recently marketed - you know the kind that conform to your body. This way if the back of the chair is adjusted to support your upper back, the lumbar is not over looked. Currently, I have only seen office chairs that support one or the other but not both at the same time. Also, current markets have chairs that massage or vibrate. These are extremely costly and who wants to plug in their chair to an electical outlet or recharge its batteries. I am thinking that if there were a way to create a warming or cooling sensation this might assist with the blood circulation and may be relaxing too. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

- Q: i am considering getting one and am wondering if we can play my surround sound while using the game chair with a dvd player, tv, xbox. Or do we just have to listen to movies from the game chair speakers
- Depending on the particular chair you get, and what you actually want to do, the answer is going to vary. Most gaming chairs I've seen at least support stereo audio via the red/white RCA cables. So what you could do is connect your devices to the surround sound system as normal, then run a pair of the red/white RCA cables from the Receiver's 2nd room outputs. I don't know if your receiver has this feature or not, but it would allow you to have the receiver playing audio through its speakers and your chair at the same time. Another option would be to connect the RCA audio cables directly to the device in question. You'll need a set of long cables for this, and maybe a male-male adapter plug (you can get these from Radio Shack.) Another way would be to get a cheap A/V switch (the type for composite video) and just plug your audio cables into that, then plug the chair into the switch. Most devices can output an audio signal on all their outputs at once so this shouldn't be a problem.
- Q: How old is your child?My son is 3 and I still rock him in a rocking chair or recliner. I really think that over 5 years of age is too old to rock in a rocking chair.Every night I rock him in a rocking chair, tell him a story, sing him a song, and kiss him while patting his bottom to sleep. I do not think he is too old for it.
- If you think its fine then its okay he's your child so can't anyone tell you different. I actually think its pretty cute that he's being read and sung to every night. I know he's a very smart toddler.
