Q: If the cars had a solid-built 1-piece tilt front cap Talladega & Daytona would the cars stay on the ground?
I actually have a design that utilizes two ports that are integral with the body panels, which mean there are NO MOVING PARTS. They are angled and contoured to only be effective if the car turns past 45 degrees. After 45 degrees air is automatically evacuated inside of the cabin of the car, and since it cannot be trapped because the windows are open, the car cannot lift. I would love to share the design with NASCAR, but I would probably want them to pay me for my ideas. I hate wasting a good design
Q: what is a HYDRAULIC LIFT?
i would probably confront him that its extremely annoying and say you want to call the police if it goes off again. then call the police if it goes off again. they can make him get it fixed.
Q: having trouble, WFd, im just not sure how to figure out speed and PE using this info? other formulas?after a screetching halt a car leaves skid marks that are 65m long. The coefficient of kinetic friction b/t the tires and the road is .71 How fast was the car going before the driver applied the brakes?A 75kg skier rides a 2830m long lift to the top of a mountain. The lift makes an angle of 14.6degrees with the horizontal. What is the change in the skiers gravitational potential energy?
Online, is not the way to learn how to ride a motorcycle. If you don't want to take a motorcycle safety coarse, or can't afford to do so. Then please, find some one who can show you how to ride. Trying to learn online, can get you hurt or killed. Before you try so ride a motorcycle, try working on your grammar. You don't have to down shift at all, or down shift after you've stopped, or as you are braking. It doesn't matter.
Q: Recently I took my car to a mechanic because of a clinking noise coming from the front left tire. They said it was a rock stuck behind the heatshield, they removed it, the sound went away. Now the sound is back (I live on a gravel driveway, so this makes sense.) I‘m wondering if I can remove the tire and get the rock out myself or it is more complicated than that.
Just be carefull use a good floor jack to lift the car up by the approved jacking points place jack stand under the car. Do not work on a car lifted only with a floor jack. Do not lift a car on the gravel surface. Removing the wheel and installing the wheel is simple but locating the stone might be difficult and it might be between any of the four brake shields.
Q: My car is a little too low to easily change the oil. I would like to lift it 3. What is the safest way? I don‘t want to be crushed. I was thinking of nailing a bunch of boards, maybe 3 of them that are 1 thick and put them under all 4 tires. Safe?I do not have jack stands but could but it. No way am I going to work under a tire jack.
Jack it up, and then place strong, dense timbers or blocks under the chassis rails, make sure you lower off the jack and then give a good hefty 'wiggle test' to make sure the car is going NOWHERE.
Q: I am trying to take out an engine to a 2000 Chrysler Seabring and i need to know if i can take it out through the top of the car and not jus through underneath the car. i was told i had to lift the car and take it out from underneath the car but i would like to take it out from the top. anyone ever done it that way before?
I'm not sure who told you the engine had to be dropped from the bottom but I can assure you they were mistaken. If the engine has been dismounted properly (disconnected from the tranny, etc) you should be able to work it out of vehicle with a bit of careful manuevering. There are very few vehicles on the road today that require the engine to be dropped out of the bottom of the car. Make sure you've got heavy grade chain and at least a 2 ton cherry picker (engine lift) to get it out. Keep a close eye on the rear of the picker, they tend to want to tip over.even with a smaller engine such as yours. Good luck!
