- No. your your chair would ROLL Because you applied a force on the rope backward pushing chair with the same amount of force in forward direction and there is no other force except friction to stop the chair which is not enough hence you would go forward. force applied on the rope only cancels out. you can assume you(on a wheel chair) pulls a rope fixed to tree at other end. This would also give same result. Hope this would help you.!!!!!!

- I wouldn't attempt it. Aside from the mold problem, it will almost assuredly come out splotchy. Since you can't submerge the chair, there' no way to control just how much stain is going to any one area, and if the chair has been in use at all, it's going to have unseen areas of dirt and/or oil that will prevent uneven color absorption. If it has any man made material content at all it won't color evenly either, as that tends to not absorb dye well. Maybe you can find a slipcover to fit the chair, or if not too complicated, recover it yourself.

We both thought it would just dry up but today when i looked at the chair there is a big stain there. does anyone know how to get rid of it? the chair is green and the stain looks like it has an almost brownish edge to it.
- If leather, use leather cleaner. For other fabrics, cool water, sponge, dishwashing liquid and Zout fabric stain remover. 1 quart water, 1/2 tsp. Dawn or Joy dishwashing liquid. Spray liberally with Zout fabric stain remover, esp. the brownish edges. Dirt in the chair cushion rose up like mudwater when the water from the wet suit got into the fabric, that's what the brownish stain is from. Allow Zout to remain for an hour, rinse sponge in soap water, and wash the cushion. Scrub. Dump water, rinse sponge well, wring it out, fill tub with more clean water and use the sponge to rinse the cushion by soaking the sponge in clean water, wring it, start wiping or washing out the soap, repeatedly, sponge out the soap. When the soap is washed or 'rinsed' out, use a hair dryer to dry the seat, or use a clean, old bath towel and push it down, gently onto the seat to absorb most of the moisture. Then use a hair dryer to dry the seat. If this doesn't work, you could try to recover the cushion with new fabric after it dries out.

They are made of a brownish metal (iron?) and a sort of mesh. So they have spent the day indoors, and I was just taking them outside again, when they started bleeding a bright reddish orange fluid. What can this be? Can rust appear in liquid form?!
- Yes, I believe rust can be in such small particles, suspended within water, that the water does look orange. Probably the internal areas of the metal structure have gotten wet and are now draining out. Use rust remover to get it off carpets, etc. Test an area, first.

- Q: Which do you prefer? This would be for a dining set in cast aluminum that looks like wrought iron and would be used on a wooden deck (not a patio). - Q: I hate this chair! There is only one control item--a lever, and I've never used it at all. Yet my chair is a different height every other week. This morning I found it so high, my feet don't touch the floor and I can't figure out how to lower it! I've moved the lever in and out and every which way, but the chair doesn't budge.
- Some old chairs adjusted just by screwing in and out of the central column. Since yours has a lever, this is probably not the case. If you have never used the lever, then we can't be certain what it does, but on most I have used, pulling up on the lever while seated should allow the chair to lower. Pulling up while off the chair should allow the chair to rise. Some I have seen also let you push or pull the lever to lock or allow the back to tilt some. If you have tried this, the pneumatic cylinder may be shot. Likely just need a new chair.
