- a fail proof way to get an idea of how much fabric you will need: Take a tablecloth and drape it over the chair. This will give you a feeling of how much fabric you will need. If the tablecloth is too big, buy less fabric than the table cloth measurements and vice versa. I realize this is not a professional way to measure, but for the layman, it is a great way to get the spacial measurement needed.
- Q: I am a sophomore and the girl who is the first chair for the flute is graduating. My friend wants to be first chair and so do I. I am not sure if my band has ranking like that but I still want to get the first chair. - I would use a pale sage green. It goes very well with lavendar! I would buy a chair cushion for it that either matched your lavendar or else was in spring greens. Good luck!
- Q: Hi, I am having my wedding ceremony and reception at the same venue. The ceremony will be outside with the reception indoors all on the same grounds. I was wondering if I should rent double the chairs or save money and have the chairs tranfered from outside to inside?
- you'll have to ask the venue if they will supply people to move the chairs. they may charge an extra fee for that, same as if you just rented more chairs for outside! who knows! venues are tricky like that. if you're having a cocktail hour after the ceremony, then there will be time to have the chairs moved. but if the reception starts right after the ceremony, then the guests will get to the reception hall and not have anywhere to sit for a few minutes while the chairs are moved. weird. you can't have guests moving their own chairs, that would be totally awkward.
- Q: Over the years the foam in my leather chair has lost its ability to to firmly support someone. Replacing the foam is not a DIY endeavour. Are there any reupholsters in the Toronto area who can do something like this at a reasonable cost? The ones I have contacted are too pricey.
- Hi pc, I would suggest if you have any local Upholstery Schools ( colleges Night Classes etc ) in your area you may want to call them and inquire of any available help with your chair cushion. Many times the students in class are willing to replace and repair as part of the upholstery classes. Which because they are students, this repair may cost you a lot less. Good Luck!
