Q:I need 300 ft. of service entrance cable and I've been told I need 4 guage 3 wire 200 amp aluminum is what I need but I'm wondering if this 1 guage overhead line would work just as well if buried in 2electrical pvc conduit for 300 ft.: This query has been asked alot of times. Easily since there is no voltage change along the fowl. We could say the cable has 10000V. At one claw(contact) it's 10000V and at the other leg (the other contact) is 10000V. In view that there is not any voltage change, a current will not drift to kill the chicken. Its similar to two related containers of water with both of equal water degree. Water is not going to waft from one container. Except the chook touches one other object of one-of-a-kind voltage lets' say the ground with 0V. 10000V is doing work by way of pushing a current through the hen inflicting a current and potentially killing the chicken. A contractor could NOT do this for you, because it is against NEC code (although some do anyway). You as a home owner, working on your own home, are not bound by these laws (in most areas - I here Chicago is tough). So the question becomes: Is this safe. With what you described, I see no danger in doing what you want to do. The issue of insurance is a point. If you use some cheap surge protector that happens to burst into flames and starts a fire. And an inspector for the insurance company comes out and sees the power cord, they could try to deny your claim based on that. Even though 'that' was not responsible for the fire. Your call.

Q:when i bought my motherboard it came with two 4-pin to sata power cables but i see that the power supplies have a sata power cable on it how do i connect these i have no idea how to do this: if your power supply has sata power supply, there is no need to use the 4 pin adapter. most of power supply has 4 pin. consist of 4wires color red,2-black and yellow. and you cant go wrong connecting these pins, for they wont fit, if tried to connect on other way

Q:ok ive been having amp trouble lately. it wont turn on. ive figured the problem today when i got the voltage tester out. I have me Remote Turn On working.My ground is solid.RCAs connected properly.NO fuses are blown. ive checked all of them; 30 amp fuse for AMP, Max fuse under the hood, fuse relay center under the hood too, all good. connection from the power terminal is solid. heres what happened: i decided to move my amp and run the wires under the door sills because i needed more space. so i just had the car off and i disconnected my remote, power, and rcas. i left the ground because that didnt need to be moved.i dropped the power wire and it hit a seatbelt thing, and it sparked once. but not big.nothing blew, but now it seems like my power wire isnt working, my amp wont turn on-keep in mind my amp was not touched by the spark in any way.: Did you re check the in-line fuse under the hood?

Q:HiIs it advisable to run 110VAC cable from the sub stationa and 110VAC cable from generator (clean) in the same conduit ; one of them for lighting and the other for CCTV; the concern is if the one for lighting is not clean (not consisting of a pure sine wave or carrying interference) would that effect the power line of the CCTV and has an effect on the picture? even though both are 110VAC.the installation is over seas where the power from the station is not consistence.: If both are simple power lines, then you won't have a problem. The only time you need to be cautious is when you are running a high-voltage power cable and a signal cable alongside each other e.g. a 110VAC cable alongside a 4-20ma signal line from a transmitter. The reason for the potential interference is that the power cable emits an electro-magnetic field which can potentially cause induction in the cable alongside it and effect the signal with an induced EMF. The likelihood of this depends on the cable type, screening and correct earthing measures. It's a good bet to never run a power and signal cable alongside each other, and if you have no other choice, seperate them by means of a makeshift Faraday Cage. If both are doing nothing other than supplying power to the system though, then any induced EMF will be so minute, it will not likely affect the system in any way.
