- Q: Under the living room coffee table, carpet or not?
- The carpet should be kept clean, so often cleaning is necessary, but in addition to regular attention to dust, the best day for a vacuum cleaner on the carpet dust, so as to put the dirty things on the inside of the adsorption removal. Often cleaning is not necessary, because too much cleaning will make carpet peeling off, resulting in carpet hardens, lose the original gloss. Carpet cleaning can only be carried out on a regular basis, but it is necessary to remove dust every day, but in the process of cleaning, do not use some strong bleach, but should be washed with neutral detergent.
- Q: appropriately enuff my mom gave me an area rug and she smokes, so does everyone else around her, we don't smoke at my house...febreeze only makes a quot;freshquot; smokey sicko nasty smell.
- Attach it to your car antenna and drive to Kentucky.
- Q: I am Thinking of using the carpet large sqauers you can but at lowes. Any one use them and are you happy or not?
- Using the carpet squares is very much like using the the hardwood flooring paneling or using ceramic tile. If done correctly they work relativly well as long as it's a small weave carpet. The important things to make sure of is that 1) The grain of the carpet all goes the same way 2) Make sure they all fit together well. If you have a piece that doesn't quite fit... toss it and use another one. 3) Make sure they are well adhered to the floor. If they are not securely glued they will shift with use and after a few months it will look like you used carpet squares.
- Q: I want to make carpet skates but don't know what material to use.
- u don't really need much to make them. Carpet skating is possible if you use any material under your feet that will slide on carpeting. This also works on hard floors, too. To skate on carpet, start with a pair of nice thick socks. Cut out plastic foot pads for the bottoms and sew them in place. The plastic bottom will slide on the carpet without hurting the carpet material. To skate on wood, linoleum or any hard floor... just use the thick socks. Some kids do this without thinking about it. Carpet and sock skating is like any other type of skating. Please be safe. Don't try it near obstacles or furniture. Make sure surfaces are clean. Keep it simple. Real carpet skates are pretty cheap and probably offer a better surface for sliding:
- Q: How can you keep an area rug from bunching up/wrinkling over a carpeted floor?By the way, the rug is fairly new.
- had rug pads to use on area rugs which are over a carpeted floor. They come in all sizes, so measure your rug to get the right size.
- Q: i spilled crazy glue on my carpet on accident. how do i remove it thanks inadvance
- i know you can use paint thinner when it gets on you and other surfaces. so you could possibly use it on carpet too.
- Q: I have a espresso colored round table (i think its about 4' or 5' diameter) and it also incleds a leaf to extend the table into an oval shape. I am trying to decide what kind of rug i should get for underneath the table (there is ceramic tile in this area). Its going into the formal living and dining room in the house which is the first you room you enter when you come into the house. The entire room is about 13' wide by 22' long. There will also be a buffet by the table taking off about 2' or so from the width. This is what i was thinking1. getting a big square rug (about 8x8)2. getting a rectangle rug (either 5'x8' or 8'x11')Let me know if you have any other ideas. Thanks for your input!
- 1] is buffet on long wall or short wall? How big is actual dining area? 13' x 11'? or smaller? [ also subtract the two feet from buffet space ] 2] rug should be about 2.5 feet wider and longer than the table to allow chairs to move back and forth freely; so you need a rug at least 6.5' or 7.5' by 8' or 9'. depending on table and leaf's actual size. 4] do measure the table and leaf for accuracy before making any purchase. 5] buy some graph paper; cut out table, chair, buffet and rug sizes; and play with pieces for best look. . 6] I would buy one that covers most of area. - so 8' x 11'.
- Q: Right i have just got my own house and my partner is thinking of fitting the carpet himself as we are running low on funds and the carpet place we brought it from are wanting ?45 a room which we honestly cannont afford! We have the knee banging gripper thing but i was woundering if there anything else in tool wise im going to need or maybe someone out there know some cheap carpet fitters in wolverhampton? Thanks in advance
- is it a puppy from a litter of your dogs? or have you just bought a 5 week old puppy? if its the latter then you need to take it to the vet asap as a puppy this young will die without the right care/food. report the breeder to the RSPCA (UK) or other organisation if ur in the US. puppies minimum age for leaving dam/litter mates is 8weeks for a good reason, before this age you are only taking on a potentially BIG problem and expensive vet bill.
- Q: I want to use baking soda to freshen my rugs before I vacuum. I won't use commercial odor eliminators (the strong scent gives me a headache). Has anyone used baking soda and experienced a change in color or any damage to your carpets?
- Baking soda is good for removing odours and it has no smell It will not damage your carpet in any way Why not hire Rug Doctor This will deep clean and remove all odour from them
- Q: I just moved into a new apartment about three weeks ago, and the carpet in only one room smells like ammonia. It's a really terrible smell and it won't go away after vacuuming many times. I know they shampooed the carpets before I move in. The lady before me who lived here had a dog. I know urine can smell like ammonia after it's sat awhile. Could it be that her dog peed on the carpet? Any ideas about how to get rid of the smell without shampooing the carpet?
