Q: I'm thinking of buying a shag rug similar to this type. I have 2 boys and a dog...so it will need to be steam cleaned every now and then. I'm wondering if those are cleanable with professional steam cleaners, or if the sucking action will tear up the rug. Figured it would be good to find out before I buy one! Thanks!
yes it will take longer due to haven to move slower to allow a good cleaning an if hiring out don't be shocked if they charge you more then normal due to extra effort
Q: What kind of material is good for home bedroom carpet?
Pure wool carpetHigh quality pure wool carpet is usually made from fine wool. The carpet hair is thick and uniform and rich flexibility, bright color, texture is very soft, soft thin hair placed in the bedroom space, a step up is very comfortable, this is the high quality of life people family one of the most common carpet material.
Q: i have large area rugs on my carpet and the are moving and sliding all around. which tape have you had the best experience with? thanks

Q: I have a little 3x5 brown and beige zebra striped pottery barn rug in here, but I want to move it into my bedroom because my mom painting some amazing zebra paintings for it, and the rug simply goes with my decor in there. I love that this rug is a little eccentric in my living room- that it's mismatched in a matching kind of way. I need to do this with another rug. I'm really drawn to cream flokati rugs, and it'd be a nice neutral in here (because my paintings are very colorful).

Q: How the heck can I get pet hair out of a flokati rug (1.5 inch wool shag)? Please Help!
If you cant vacuum it, will it fit in the dryer? if so put it in there and put it on a cool setting for about 15-20 minutes along with a few dryer sheets if you'd like, just clean out the dryer vent when your done. it works on my rugs. good luck
Q: I recently had new carpet installed in my home, and I was confused that the name of the color I picked out at the showroom was called quot;Fawn's Leapquot;, but 3 weeks later when the installers arrived, the tag on the carpet roll was named quot;Creston Winter Minkquot;. I called the carpet store and asked them if this was the same carpet I picked out since it seemed a bit lighter in color. They assurred me that it was the same carpet, and that the factory that made it uses that name, whereas the store uses the other for generic purposes. I kept a swatch to compare later on at the showrroom. But is this common with the carpet industry?
theres 2 scenarios that fall into play here.1st- the carpet mills produce the carpet in large lots, some mills give their product a name others a number.carpet distribitutors and stores are able to give carpets whatever name they like, hence the reason you go to home depot w/ a lowes name and you cant find the name but the exact carpet. for example: my carpet distributor has a product line made by shaw mills, called apt +2, but its the only place to find that name. a store that i worked for dealt w/ masiland mills , almost everything that came from that mill had a store given name like the owners sons nickname for example. it makes it seem like that carpet is exclusively made for that store, also, not all dyes are mixed the same way giving a variance in dye lot (the difference between your swatch and the sample. 2- worst case, you picked out a carpet and the store you bought it from found a comparable piece for less money and ordered that thinkin you wouldn't notice the difference and they put even more money in their pocket. go back to that store and see if they have a rug by the name you got and not ordered, if so check the price if different i would seek legal retribution
Q: How do I Eliminate Cat Urine Odors in carpet
Wow 11 cats is a lot. I think since the order is eye watering the only option is to put new carpet in. Or you can try professional carpet cleaning. Good luck
Q: My cat scratches the rugs in my house to the extent that rug nap is scattered all over every morning. We have both vertical and horizontal scratching posts in which he displays no interest. I tried a product called quot;No Scratchquot; which doesn't work either. What else can I do?
my cat usually scratches the couches and i tell her to get off, i put a rough ''welcome'' rug outside and whenever my cat wants to scratch she goes there, just get a really hard and rough rug, and put it on the rug that it scratches , worked for me, hope it works for you :)
Q: I have a rug that is handwoven from India. I am finding it hard to keep free of debri. When I used a vaccum little fuzzy things came up on a few spots of the rug. Any other ideas?

Q: so i have this furry rug and by furry i mean like it looks like it something that would be attached to your hoodie, and it's black... so i was wondering on how to vacuum and or clean the feathers off it because it's way to big to take outside and shake it all off
I also have a very furry rug, but mine is white. You could vacuum it and use that special tube thingy on the vacuum to get certain spots it works great, that's what I use. BUT mine is very small so you might also be able to just vacuum straight over it lol
