FAQ
Q: Are CNBM pumps available in DIY stores?
A: Yes, currently, we’re available for DIY stores all over the world.
Q: Where do I have to send pumps for service?
A: You must send them to the CNBM PUMP Service Point or, after contacting Customer Care, to the CNBM PUMP service center in China.
Q: Are your pumps acid-proofed?
A: To choose the right pumps for chemical applications, we do need further details on hydraulic operations as well as on the type, concentration and temperature of the liquid.
Q: Can your pumps mount Eff.1 motors
A: Currently, only on request though this will shortly be a CNBM standard.
Q: Are your pumps protected against dry running?
A: No, unprotected centrifugal pumps are not generally designed for dry running. It is important to give us or your dealer as much information as possible about the system in which the pump is used. Inlet pressure, the type of liquid to be pumped, together with relative density, viscosity and temperature, for example, are required in order to allow CNBM to recommend the right pump with the right gaskets for a long operating lifetime.
Q: How can I get trained on CNBM products?
A: Yes, we provide training courses in our factory (products, general and specific pump technology, hydraulics, and practical applications). Please consult your sales manager or get in touch with our headquarters for more information.
- Q: How to install circulating water pump for cooling tower?
- I think it should be installed on the outlet pipe of the cooling tower
- Q: 1998 Honda civic water pump plastic or metal inside (OEM)?
- nearly all honda water pumps are all metal construction...including this one.
- Q: I have a 2000 Chevy Malibu with 123xxx miles on it. I notice coolant being leaked on the floor heavily and my car gets hot driving. It leaks when the car is on and stops when it is off. Could it be a water pump? What r the signs of a bad water pump?
- the water pump leaks
- Q: Okay, I have a 1982 Suzuki Dt8 that someone gave me. But it will not pump water well, when you reve it it will have a little watter shoot out the water outlit, but heres the thing. if you take the cover off be the shift linkage and run the engin it will pump water through just fine
- I've passed on answering your question a couple times, mainly because I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. So let me ask. In the water does the engine overheat? I'm not sure that what you are looking at isn't the relief hole and not the water discharge, which should be under water. How are you supplying water to your engine? Are you running in a barrel? The water pump should be replaced every 2-3 years, so unless you are going to do it yourself, take it to a shop and explain what you are observing. Taking the cowling off will have no effect on the water pump, so I'm guessing you are looking at the wrong place. P.S. This was a common error with Evinrude small motors back in the 70's and 80's, motors similar to yours. The exhaust fin was just behind the propeller. not higher up the leg
- Q: 2005 pontiac grand prix 3.8 v6There is a scratching type of noise when i start the car. Looked under the hood and it seemed to be coming from the serpentine belt.Took the belt off and and checked the pulleys for any play and turned out the water pump pulley wobbles back and forth too much. Replaced the belt with a new one and want to replace the pulley. It does not seem to have a loose screw so i'm wondering if i can take the pulley itself off and replace it, or would i have to replace the pump too? Still makes the noise with new belt and you can see the pulley wobble a bit when the car is running.
- you have to replace the pump ! it,s not the pulley that,s wobbling, it,s the bearing in the water pump that,s bad and you can,t replace the bearing !
- Q: i have little leak from water pump need to replace it in my mazda 6 2006 v6 3.0l. i have little over 120.000 miles on it. Any body know how much it may cost me?
- I don't know why, but the water pump costs between $125 and $160. That seems a little high. It probably retails for $186. Under normal conditions, you just get things out of the way, unbolt the old pump, clean it up and put the new one in. The problem is the other stuff that gets in the way. I'm just estimating the job will take 5-8 hours. Just multiply times the labor rate in your area. Don't forget the anti-freeze when you're done.
- Q: Submersible pump and self-priming pump which is easy to use?
- Dive into the water and leave alone
- Q: I have a 1978 El Camino V8 305. My power steering has been going out on me, and since then my belt has been squeaking usually when it first starts up. This morning when I got to work, smoke was bellowing from under my hood. Im trying to troubleshoot. Is it possible that my power steering pump damaged the belt enough that the water pump went out?
- The only method of positive identification is to use a mechanics stethoscope. A failing bearing is most likely causing the whine, but wear in the p/s pump can also create a whining noise which will get noticeably louder when the wheel is turned and held against the stop with the engine running.
- Q: We came home one day to find our bathroom floor soaked, and we had no water at all.we later found out that it was the washing machine hose leaking. Our friend primed the pump but isent an expert..we fixed that problem with a new hose.A few weeks after, we started to notice that when you are in the shower, the water would shut off for a minute and come back on for a minute, so on so on, perfectly timed., and this got worse and worse, yesterday it would be on for like 20 secconds and off for 3 minutes... last night the water was working good but today we woke up with no water. The water taps in the house hardly do it at all. I also noticed that when we are running water the water pump goes crazy fast, i can hear it because its a mobile home.
- I'm guessing that you have a well. The others had some good points and I would just like to add that I had a similar problem with my pump. Turned out that the tank had to much air in it and was fooling the pressure switch.
- Q: the water pump from the factory has an extra hole coming out the side its the smaller one on the end of this pic.
- i've always gone by the 30 second rule. even a NEW or emptied for winter motor that must completely fill, 30 seconds should be long enough. if it hasnt begun pumping by that point, i turn it off and give it some time to cool while i double check everything. then i might give it a full 45 seconds. but it wont overheat in less then a couple of minutes. and if its not pumping with the hose hooked up, the impeller is probably bad already anyways. however, if you do even get it near warm, its already hotter then you think it is where the heat is produced, the cylinders, and where you have tight clearances on fast moving parts, the cylinders and pistons. and if it gets too hot, major damage is quickly done. BTW, service period on a merc impeller is always 100 hours or 3 years. or NOW, before the motor is damaged, if unsure of when it was last done. when the impeller is less then $50 (and about an hour labor, if paying for it) and a new motor is THOUSANDS, you cant replace it too often. dennis, you have NO clue. i suggest getting one before you ruin the motor in your own boat. and in the meantime, keep your bad advice to yourself.
